Bob Bergdahl's beard became the most controversial facial hair in all of America, but now critics who accused him of looking like a member of the Taliban can rest easy - he has shaved.
Grown in order to mark the time his son was in captivity as a POW in Afghanistan, neighbors of Bergdahl in Hailey, Idaho, have said that the former UPS truck driver is now clean shaven.
This comes as it was reported that Bowe Bergdahl is still refusing to speak to his family, despite being sent a letter from his sister, as he recovers in an Army hospital in Germany.

Exactly. Don’t believe anything from anonymous or “official” sources. He could be dying to speak to his parents for all we know.
In some earlier reports I read, son B was whining to dad B about this and that: how unfair the US is to the poor, how the Taliban is just defending themselves against the Imperialists, how he wants to do something to help them. Dad B is reported to have told son B to “just follow your conscience”, no admonition to live up to his obligations and commitments, just “go where your heart takes you” pap. I think, with no proof as to whether I am right or wrong, that dad B is another west coast liberal airhead who failed to raise his son with any sense of values or self discipline. Because he was, more or less, encouraged by his father, son B might now be angry with him, blaming dad for not helping him come to a better decision.
I wish them both well in the next life, but I think they have pretty well screwed this one up.

Just what I’m thinking as well. They are in full control mode to make sure the word doesn’t get out that this guy is another John Walker-Lindh and I would bet they are giving him two choices right now: Spend the rest of his life in jail or he will say what they want him to say “Oh I went to latrine and the Taliban came out of nowhere and kidnapped me and I want to thank President Obama for saving me. He is the best President in history.”
Who knows how much the US paid al Qaeda and the Taliban for to release Bergdahl?
Dad knew govt wouldn’t get his son back(very reasonable) so he tried to reflect his captors thinking and ways and look and language. He continued it while son initially refused english and to communicate, even nationally beside the president, trying the “we are alike, we both want Gitmo closed” route to no avail. Time to return to his real way and wait out son.
Govt wouldn’t help him as they felt his son a traitor so he had to get the boy himself - wouldn’t you get try to get your son back....beating the snot out of him comes later...you go get your son, your the prodigal and your son is still your son. Get the brain washing out of him before you see if he’s a traitor or just one stupid dumb kid of yours....the govt and fellow soldiers/citizens believe what may.
Wait for the facts.

My local Official Offal Obama Orifice and Outlet, aka as the Nina Burleigh Press and the Times-Union (Albany, NY), has not provided the statements of the Platoon members who have given background on the departure of Bergdahl from the outfit. Oh, the have alluded to reports that stated the outfit was “dysfunctional” what the hell that means.
They have never mentioned that at least 6 members of the platoon killed while searching for Bergdahl.
Hell powers that run the rag haven’t even noted Senator Feinstein’s statements.
Wait till the kid finds out that deserters don't get back pay.
