Chris Ziifle, the Gretna woman who secured her gun shop during Hurricane Katrina, is to be honored by the City Council on Wednesday for 66 years in business and philanthropy. Ziifle, 84, retired in May after selling Gretna Gun Works on Lafayette Street.
