OK I was finding out a whole lot more about the GOP's newest champion, who just trounced Cantor in Virginia, when I stumbled upon this interesting bit:
His democrat challenger in the general election, is also a professor - at the very same college.

Interesting. Jack Trammell the Dem nominee lives on a small farm with his wife and seven kids.
Is this guy a homeschooling, faux Democrat, Wendell Berry type? Wouldn’t that be funny if a conservative slipped in as the D nominee? (Note that Trammell was put in by the local committee when no other D candidate filed).
With regards to Brat, he is no hick. Like Cruz, Lee, Tom Cotton, that guy from Nebraska, he is heavily credentialed, very intellectual. Interestingly, we are not only rising up a People’s Army in the tea party movement, we are rising up some serious thinkers to do the heavy intellectual labor which is necessary as well.
Today is a good day.
Tomorrow will bring challenges. But today is a good day.
Nice Wendell Berry reference.
That's no Democrat; a real RAT would have had at least five of the kids aborted! < /sarc >
That could explain the extreme divergence from the polls.
Trammell's urging of Democrat voters to vote in the Republican primary for Brat is something the polls don't take into account.
Cantor with Perelman and Cantors wife and the other rinos will try to push through amnesty...why? Because Cantor was a liberal plant anyway; think about it. If you are a staunch conservative or a libertarian or a constitutional conservative, whatever, would you, could you REALLY marry a die hard liberal? NOOOO!
His wife and he benefit somehow by the companies hell lobby for and Perelmans cache of holding companies who benefit somehow from cheap labor here or abroad...thats my prediction...its all about what benefits him. Cantor is and was a phony and we have to be smarter than that.
Clue: If the candidates wife or company they came from is associated strongly with liberals, then the candidate is lying and is NOT a conservative even if they say they are one.
I was laughing at Trammell’s website last night - trammelforcongress.com
Haha.
Thanks.
Yeah saw that.
Had some friends who went to Macon way back in the day. Good school.
Interesting. I bet they’d have no trouble setting up a debate.
>> I bet theyd have no trouble setting up a debate <<
One is a free-market economist, the other is a hippy-like sociologist — a combination that should make for a MOST entertaining debate. Let’s hope C-Span carries it!
Wouldn't someone have noticed that type of outreach, some news type?
Or ESPN-U.
Maybe you can help me out. I was just trying to determine whether Brat and Trammell actually are both college professors. It seems, tho I could be wrong, that Brat is a full professor and a department chair, while Trammell is an associate professor - difference of about 25% more salary for a full prof. And, obviously, more prestige.
Not that wire service journalism would be falling all over itself to point that out . . .
What can FReepers find out about that?
