Sunday is my birthday, so I am accepting birthday wishes and cakes......homework still due, so get busy!
Would help if I pinged ya...see previous post.
I am planning on having some fun for my birthday over the weekend, since surgery is Tuesday.
Can someone take my Friday next week, as I may still be in the hospital?
Friday the 13th and no one is coming to class. Mmm.
I’m here. For a little while. My wife’s brother is getting married tomorrow. I’m the best man and Sarah is one of the bridesmaids.
Happy Birthday, if and when you get there.
Necromancer - I thought maybe it had something to do with vampires. Aren't they neck-romancers?
There once was a foreign policy of such inconsistency
That Jay Carney could only defend it as expediency
When pressed by Fox
At one of his talks
He said White House decisions are made by necromancy
Barak the magic necromancer...
fill in the blank.
Obama employs necromancy
As did Ronald Reagan’s wife, Nancy
For her, they were larks
But Barack channels Marx
And Joe Stalin when it strikes his fancy
Sounds like a plan.
Able to leap tall buildings with a boundless plan!
Able to outrun the truth with a continuous lie!
Against truth, justice and the American way!
Michael Scott has written a series of books about a necromancer. Not the Michael Scott from The Office. But the books are written for older children/teens and are interesting stories. I have decided to postpone my dental emergency since I have too much going on in the next few days and need a clear head and an unbruised, nonpuffy face to get things done.
Necroman - puts the “fun” in funeral home too.
I’m in the car en route to the frozen tundra for our niece’s wedding tomorrow. Xsteen is bridesmaid, xsboy and xsbaby are bringing up the gifts and xshub is doing a reading(he’s godfather to the bride).
This begs the question: what naughty thing did you do that made you the only one not involved?
Wow HD, Debbie downer really?
Have fun up north.
It raises the question. “Begging the question” means to argue for a conclusion by assuming the conclusion in the arguments being made.
Thank you! Thanks to you, I’ve learned a grammar thing on WFTD even on the rare day when I knew the day’s word....
I’m not hurt. They’re having godparents read, cousins bringing up the gifts. No role for aunt by marriage.
Thank you for accepting it in the spirit I intended!
It’s a common misuse that bugs the hell out of people who know logic.
Had I thought otherwise, I would have never mentioned. Sometimes you do do the whole mature ‘tude thing reasonably well ;)
He’s no David Brent, though.
Thanks we are looking forward to dancing!
Rainy day today, but tomorrow should be sunny! Hope you have fun, the next one is your daughter’s right?
the way i see it, i’d way rather talk stupid here and learn the proper way, rather than it happen with a client.
Yeah, its a hickey. I got it from my necormancer.
Wedding will be a bit of a tearjerker. Bride’s mom, xshub’s sister, died about 12 yrs ago, of breast cancer. Bride had her mom’s wedding dress made into a cocktail style dress for the rehearsal/dinner.
I hope you don’t regret that. A++
Thanks. Looks yummy!
Yes there is something each month for the next few. July is my daughter’s shower. August xshub and I are going to Hawaii and then wedding is 9/6. London is the end of oct.
Sorry I can’t post a bday cake. I’ll stop by on Sunday for the real thing !
Saturday is a farewell party for our pastor who is moving on to another parish. Sunday is a celebration party for our new Deacon, who was ordained this month. It will be his first time on the altar as a deacon. I don’t know which party I want to attend more. Busy weekend, especially with throwing in my own birthday celebration. Add to that being taken off all painkillers till after surgery and I am already hurting a little more every day. Starting to limp again when I walk.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Aren’t you the cookie baker?
Plus you threw a shower for her. Your role is to smile.
