Saturday is a farewell party for our pastor who is moving on to another parish. Sunday is a celebration party for our new Deacon, who was ordained this month. It will be his first time on the altar as a deacon. I don’t know which party I want to attend more. Busy weekend, especially with throwing in my own birthday celebration. Add to that being taken off all painkillers till after surgery and I am already hurting a little more every day. Starting to limp again when I walk.

Here I am-I had to finish an estimate after being on another errand most of yesterday-

Obama’s minions are using
Necromancy or some such
To call up Nixon’s ghost,
To copy his personal touch

On each and every screw-up
And every huge policy mess-
Then try to cover it over,
And hope no one will guess

But promoters of cover-ups
Have had a way of being caught-
Being more snagged by details
The harder that they fought...

You will be glad to have a properly working knee, I’m sure-we will have an even bigger celebration then...

After six years I’m starting to wonder if we’ll ever find out who it is that is not letting him be clear.

He NEVER sounds like there’s any substance behind anything he says.
