If the U.S. Olympic Committee decides to enter a city in the selection process, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco or Washington are the host site contenders

An American bid would come from Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco or Washington, if the U.S. Olympic Committee decides to put a city in the running. A United States Olympic Committee process that began 16 months ago by sending letters to leaders in 35 cities is now at four finalists after Dallas and San Diego were scratched from the list of possible bidders.

"Boston, LA, San Francisco and Washington have each given us reason to believe they can deliver a compelling and successful bid...

What’s interesting is that we, like Brazil, might find ourselves hosting a World Cup and The Olympics within a few years of each other, if FIFA takes away the 2022 WC from Qatar

I seriously doubt that we’ll last that long, as fast as we’re swirling down the toilet.

I am a fan of SF Bay Area pro sports teams. Having stated that I could
not support the Olympic Games being held in SF assuming they
could find the space. Contemplation of the likely opening and closing
ceremonies alone makes me sick. Many other Niner and SF Giant
fans think the same way.

This shows how political these are, Dallas has THE STADIUM 100,000 seat Jerry dome, next to it baseball at Ranger home, Mav arena (basketball and gymnastics), SMU or TCU for swimming and the Cotton Bowl, where they could build the village, there multiple marathons and bike races done here too, but Dallas was shut down in the final five.

I don’t think they could use the Boston route. I think the Olympic rules now require a point to point marathon, beginning and ending in a stadium. (better to sell tickets)

Agreed but you really don’t want all those folks coming in and basically destroying a place and then waving bye bye.
