William Devane (IMDb page), who plays “President James Heller” on Fox’s prime time 24: Live Another Day, told USA Today that “obviously I’m a big fan of Obama, as a guy who’s smart and articulate” and, in his acting, “I say to myself, ‘what has got to be going on in the private side of this guy’s brain’ – the pressure, the racism that is thrown out — and he handles it with such dignity.’”

Why do we care about the opinions of actors?
As a group, actors/entertainers are the most dysfunctional portion of our society, intellectually, morally, and spiritually:
We EXPECT them to have financial issues to the point of bankruptcy, despite their vast incomes.
We EXPECT them to cheat on their spouses, have indiscriminate sex, and incur multiple divorces.
We EXPECT them to have drug and alcohol abuse issues, and to be arrested/photographed in compromising situations.
One hundred years ago, you would not allow your daughters to date an actor - they were treated like carnies today.
But somehow, our society has come to venerate these pathetic and ignorant pretenders, to emulate their lifestyles and follow their advice.
I think it was a hologram.
