Can't wait until October when "The Walking Dead" returns? Good thing AMC is looking out for you with an all-things-zombie celebration over Fourth of July weekend: There's a "TWD" Season 5 preview edition of "Talking Dead" and two new documentaries to tide you over until the fall.
AMC will celebrate "Dead, White and Blue" weekend starting July 4 at 9 a.m. ET/PT when the network begins airing every episode of "The Walking Dead," which will culminate in a "Talking Dead Season 5 Preview Special" on Sunday, July 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with guests Aisha Tyler and showrunner Scott M. Gimple and hosted by Chris Hardwick.
But that's not all of the new "TWD" content. AMC has produced two new "Walking Dead" documentaries set to air in July. "Inside The Walking Dead" will premiere Tuesday, July 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and feature a behind-the-scenes look at how the show is made.
"Inside The Walking Dead: Walker University" will bow Tuesday, July 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and will give an inside look -- from makeup to choreography and more -- on the transformation from extra to walker.
Been wondering when the next TWD season begins. Jonesing for something to watch now that GOT is finished. Been watching the first few episodes of ‘Halt and Catch Fire’ which has brought back memories of my hacking Tandy and IBM computers in the early ‘80s.
Dinesh D’Souza’s “America” is supposed to hit the theater on July 4th weekend. He was on Michael Medved this morning saying that if they do well on the opening then the promoters will distribute it more widely in subsequent weeks.

TWD is one of the best shows on TV. Thanks for posting this.
That’s crazy...I was just wondering if AMC might do a July 4th marathon of TWD. Thanks.
I loved TURN. It got off to a bit of a slow start, but wow, did it pick up steam. Great show, and I hope it’s renewed for a second season.
I found out it was filmed not too far from me.
I want Rick’s toupee to land a speaking role this season.
Oh yeah...MORE Darryl.
Oh yeah...MORE Darryl.
needs more daryl. /cowbell
I’m hooked on TURN too. Great AMC now I have Revolutionary and Zombie withdrawl, and no cure for it either.
LOL, I still have the final episode of TURN on the DVR...I hate to watch it and come to the end!
So... how is everyone gonna get out of that boxcar and who’s gonna get cooked and eaten?
Rick said it right: “they picked the wrong people to screw with”.
Rick sounded like Chesty Puller: We are surrounded. we got the SOBs exactly where we want them.
Eaten by hipster douchebags - what a way to go.
I also loved TURN. Unfortunately it won’t reTURN until spring, 2015. Great program and very well done.
Thanks for the ping!
Where is it filmed?
TURN was picked up for a 2nd season.
In and around Petersburg & Richmond,VA. Shirley Plantation and Tuckahoe Plantation are a couple of the specific sites they use. That's maybe an hour and a half east of us. I wouldn't mind driving over and seeing if it's possible to watch the filming.
Thank you---I read that it was. Very glad to hear it.
That would be fun. You live in beautiful country.
The biographies of all the characters are interesting. I think G. Washington is one of the few Americans. The others are British. It took a couple of shows for me to become comfortable with their accents, especially when they whispered.
Thank you, laplata. I was rewatching the next-to-last episode, and the gorgeous fall scenery was making me wish for the season.
We recorded Turn on the DVR and saved every episode so we could watch them again when the season was over. Did the same thing with Longmire. ..great shows with great scenery!!
I know...my hearing is fine, but sometimes I had to strain to hear.
O wow can’t wait. Still October is too long but the July 4 marathon will do I also think TURN will also have a marathon celebrating 4th of July. Just think Americans will be kicking butt with the Red Coats and Zombies. Awesome way to celebrate.
Love TURN and TWD. Now if only they can combine both into 1 show with no commercials that would be awesome! LOL
Woohoooooo yeah baby...more Darryl
and in TURN...BEN !!!!
Darryl and Ben !!!
Many complained about that until someone suggested put on the Close Caption on your TV to read what they are saying. I had the same problem but with time I understood.
I haven’t watched Longmire. The only TURN episodes I held onto were the last two, dang it.
Imagine Simcoe going up against Rick and Daryl. The horsekiller would regret it, LOL.
As a side note, TNT just started a new series called “The Last Ship”. I watched the opening pilot this morning which I had recorded and it looked pretty good..........
You sure you'd want to watch the filming of an episode where Daryl might get bitten or some other favorite character gets knocked off?????......
I am re-reading “1776” by David McCullough. Funding for a spy ring is mentioned once but it was early in the war. You would enjoy it.
George Washington remains the greatest of all presidents and one of the greatest Americans.
My daughter likes Daryl a lot, too. I told her they have to keep removing all his warts because they keep growing back. The look on her face was priceless. Then I told her I was just kidding and she smacked me on the arm. LOL
I would like Simcoe to go up against Rogers.
BTW, the actor who plays Rogers was Robert Bruce in Braveheart.
Good idea that I never thought of.
We were not even sure Turn would be any good or we were more concerned it would be a liberal version of the true story but we kept them just in case. We have only done that with a few shows. We can watch most of the previous seasons on Netflix but the previous seasons don’t show up until the week the new season starts on regular TV. There are only a few shows I can watch over and over...Longmire, TWD and Luther. Can’t get enough of those!
Oh, a friend of mine said this is a good show. Maybe I should check it out.
