A gender non-conforming teen is fighting to retake his driver's license picture with the makeup he says the South Carolina DMV forced him to take off.

Chase Culpepper, 16, who prefers male pronouns,wears girl's clothing and makeup every day as an outward expression of his inner self, but that freedom was allegedly stifled on March 3 at the DMV in Anderson.

Gene Simmons "prefers" to have his driver's license photo taken with full Kiss makeup.

When told that he cannot, Simmons filed a discrimination lawsuit, claiming "irreparable harm" and is seeking a large settlement for "emotional damages".

"It's who I am", claimed Simmons,66, "what business does the government have to define what I should look like?"

After a lengthy interview Simmons, stated: "Were it NOT for the Kiss makeup, I'd be washing cars."
