I think, I would put nothing past this government.
It is as corrupt as any on earth and worse than most.
All three branches have been corrupted by their quest for power and money. Add in a compliant media and I see things getting worse over the next few years.

I can see why. Wouldn’t want terrorists knowing the response capabilities and plans of the first responders to exploit weaknesses.

They do this all the time. Had a friend participate once. It’s just a drill for First Responders is all. This, obviously, isn’t something you typically get any experience in doing.

Good idea, and to see if a Republican conservative would be hired or not. If not, that would tell a lot about the purpose of said drill.

“So they’re going to cordon off the area so that nobody can watch what they do?”

I don’t know, I’m not running the operation. I, however, am aware of these types of operations being done frequently by emergency responders all over the world to practice, prepare and train for a number of scenarios and don’t see a ‘false flag’ conspiracy, especially one advertised on craigslist.

Of course I know that emergency responders participate in drills. I’d be more concerned if they didn’t.

The drills, though, aren’t typically conducted on holidays (when cops have plenty to do already) nor do they require confidentiality agreements. While I’m not by any means sold on a ‘false flag’, those two points do raise questions for me.

I know that disaster drills are common. They do tie up a lot of resources which would be foolish on a holiday when most places are staffed with skeleton crews unless the training were to take place on 7/4 and the staging on the 5th and evaluation on the 6th.

I'm just progressively more suspicious of this admin (no pun intended).

FWIW, a drill conducted on a holiday would allow access to areas that would otherwise be occupied by businesses, shoppers, etc. Greater realism is a big advantage in such training.

Some questions are just too stupid to be taken seriously. I’m sure you’ll get to the bottom of this deep, evil conspiracy where Houston police and ems employees assist in the killing of the citizens they are sworn to protect.

Now there are just gonna be more witnesses, but they have plans for them too.

“Do they usually require confidentiality agreements? To what end?”

I can only guess that emergency responders would not want terrorists to know tactics, plans or weaknesses in the response. Either that or it’s the government planning to kill its own citizens and cover up the conspiracy. I’m going with the former. The Alex Jones types can go with the latter.

I thought that terrorists primarily aim at the target and, secondarily, at first responders to the target. Unless the takeover of Houston is a step in the plan to establish a world caliphate (?), why would anyone care about the responders' methodology with the exception of the above tried-and-true plan?

Whenever an issue concerns or puzzles me, I ask for thoughts and opinions from the FReepers. They are invariably helpful. I appreciate all of your thoughtful (and sometimes humorous) responses!

I think it sucks! Where in Houston? (We are living, until further notice, in SE Houston. And not planning to come home for the 4th of July holiday weekend. Or we weren’t)

As a side note- or maybe not, something that has impressed me about Houston is that there are American flags EVERYWHERE. They sure started early if it’s for the 4th of July. The community we are staying in has flags, or multiples of them, on every boulevard. Maybe their commie mayor isn’t liking this too much?

The other thing I think is that people (our people) should apply
For these positions & get the inside story, then spread it like wildfire. But that’s just common sense.

NWO needs to step it up, so I think they’ll go WMD soon.

Dirty bomb.

Complete w radiation detectors beeping.

They’ll do a regional disaster as a trial run to keep everyone indoors (curfew) and test 30% Martial Law. Perhaps attempt some weapons seizure like they did during Katrina ‘For public safety.’

Of course homeowners are safer during a disaster when they face looters WITHOUT their guns that got seized by DHS to ‘Keep them safe.’

I’ve participated in several of these drills in my town. I wrote the scenario for one. Quite a bit of fun, actually. We used local CERT teams, friends, and family as trained “victims”. We had a professional moulage artist come in and do a bang up job simulating serious injuries, penetrating trauma, battle sign, broken bones, etc.

And yes, we cordoned off the area to keep non-participants away. Nothing sinister about it at all. Our fire and EMS crews got some good mass casualty training and the kids had a great time getting “gored up” as they call it. Taking them out for pizza afterwards was interesting as they refused to remove the make up afterwards.

Our CERT team got some valuable experience integrating with the local cops and fire crews, too. Granted we didn’t have to advertise on CL, but we have a cadre of local citizens trained for this. Maybe Houston doesn’t..

One time I pulled into the parking lot at my apartment complex and there were all kinds of emergency people there. There was a guy laying on the pavement and EMTs were hovering over him. The guy that was down looked exactly like my son from where I stood and I started screaming and almost collapsed. The EMT rushed over and told me it was just a drill and had to check me out to make sure I was OK.

Would have been nice if us residents had a warning about the drill, and I told them as much.
