Then Clinton is a bigger dolt than anyone ever believed. He singlehandedly gave Obama a second term. He carried obama’s weak first term into a second with his convention appearance and significant role....essentially letting Obama run as Clinton’s third term and pretending the economy has bounced back as if it was the late 90s.

I don’t doubt one narcissist would hate another, but if he felt this strongly he would have sat on his hands on 2012.

So true. Hillary would have had a far easier time running against a President Romney than as a third term for BO.

The story in the book is that Bubba supported Barry in 2012 in exchange for support for Hillary in 2016.

“He carried Obama’s weak first term into a second with his convention appearance...”
That’s your answer. As much as he hates Obama, Clinton loves himself even more and grabs every opportunity for the limelight so people can see his glory.

I disagree. It was a low-risk political move.

Bill wants Hillary to be President. The easiest/least risky path to that is going to be in a cycle where the incumbent President isn’t running. There’s no way of knowing whether a President Romney would gave had a successful first term, and Hillarys aging. The calculus was between running for sure in 2016, or risking a successful Romney first term and not having another real shot until 2020. With a reelection in 2024 and a Presidency ending in 2029, nearly 40 years after Bill became President.

No, the best shot for her was, and still is, a 2016 run to replace Obama.
