I guess there are folks who still think this stuff is cute to sneak onto people’s computers. Some will let you remove them from a control panel, others need to be rooted out via an antivirus program.

Never click on a blog. If you do, use protection.

The adware intercepts the html recived from a website and injects HTML hyperlinks into it so your browser renders them as if they originated on the site....

Nuke your computer from orbit, it is the only way to be sure..

Remain calm. Do not panic. You can fix this. Do you have MalwareBytes? Update and run it.

You will also want to look at add / remove programs to se if there is something installed that you do not want.

Does your search engine default to some nasty little search engine called "Delta Search"?

This isn't the only carrier of adware out there, but it is one of the most pervasive and difficult to remove.

Since adware is not typically a virus, most virus removal software is ineffective. But some of the more reputable software packages (Norton, for one) will put you in touch with a geek who can help you remove it.

You can try removing it yourself by going to "all programs" on the start menu bar and uninstalling anything which you don't recognize.

You have something nasty on your computer. I had that happen and it was the tool bar that can come with adobe acrobat even though i declined the tool bar. It was third party software and i had to go into the registry to rid of it.

On Google Chrome there is a tab that looks like 3 bars on top of each other in the upper right hand corner near the address bar. When you click that, the page comes down, click tools, click extensions, disable what you see. It will say BOO, you have no extensions when you clear it.

My husband found this a few weeks ago when my computer started underlining ads and running super slow.

Somebody found a sneaky way inside. I don’t view porn or blogs.

Check regularly to keep things running well.

If I had the time I would alert the PR department of every company that got advertised and tell them that farming their advertising out to folks who insinuate this stuff onto people’s computers has no class at all.

I noticed some sluggishness when typing into the comment box earlier. I thought it was my computer and was considering a reboot. Now, however, it seems to be working fine.

It could be something picked up by clicking on some resource links. I have always had trouble with many of the external blogs. They seem notorious at causing my browsers (I use several different browsers) to crash.

I see plenty of bad “ad buys” on the internet, but the vendors rarely see the actual placement, they see reports of click through “viewership” and other manufactured reports to make it sound good.

I’d think this is why vendors should be alerted. They might a clue that their ad firms are dirty.

Virus check probably won’t get it. Go to “Control Panel” “Programs Uninstall.” Then delete anything you don’t recognize or that has a date around the time you started getting the problem.

If you have Norton it will periodically tell you that it’s blocking an attack. Note the name of the software it says is attacking. Then Google that and “how to remove.”

Meanwhile, click here to buy “TIRES.”

If you downloaded Malwarebytes and did an update and a deep, full scan, it should be gone by now.

Double check with a similar but slightly different program Superantispyware free, update it and set it on it’s deepest setting and scan.

Download Avast free to run as a full time, self updating virus program and do a “full” scan.

Update us on what you found.

On a different level, Greenhouse 1.0.6 is a good add-on that highlights politicians names and when you hover over it, shows all his contributors and the amounts donated. Check out your browsers add-on options - should be there.

I understand it was written by a 16-year-old - kudos to him.
