BY MELISSA LIN A Muslim woman who bought a pair of $279 shoes was incensed to find out, after wearing them for six months, that the shoes were lined with pig skin.

Administrative assistant Nur Najwa Abdullah, 43, is demanding a full refund from foot care chain Happy Walker, claiming that the sales staff had told her the shoes were made of calf skin.

Ustaz Firdaus Yahya, manager of the Darul Huffaz Learning Centre which promotes understanding of the Quran, said: “In Islam, anything related to pork, such as the meat or skin, is considered unclean.”

Islamic experts say while the use of pig-skin products is not considered a sin, a Muslim should go through a cleansing ritual if he or she has used the product.

Or how about rather than flourish, we get some kind do pulverized pork bones as a mandatory additive to our water supply?

Offer them some Jello or a marshmallow.

I thought the gelatin in Jello (and most other food) was derived from cows? Or was it horses? I have never heard that it was pork-derived.

In reality, anything related to the pedophile MoHamHead is considered unclean.

It can come from the bones, skins and hides of cows and pigs. Mostly, it comes from pigskin. According to Kraft Foods, the maker of JELL-O, hooves don't contain the necessary collagen, they aren't used to make JELL-O.

The glue on the backs of envelope flaps is hide glue, which is made from --you guessed it pigskin.

I meant to add that gelatin derived from pigskin is used in a wide variety of commercial products including, shampoos, face masks, and other cosmetics; as a thickener for fruit gelatins and puddings (such as JELL-O); in candies, marshmallows, cakes, ice cream, and yogurts; on photographic film; and in vitamins as a coating and as capsules, and it is sometimes used to assist in “clearing” wines.

Search Google for: what is jello made from?

Perhaps you would be happier in a Mohammadan country, Mrs. Abdullah.
