I voted for Tom Tancredo in the primary, but will happily vote for Bob Beauprez in November! I'm excited about Cory Gardner who will face Mark Udall; I supported Ken Buck in 2010 against Jane Norton, but he ran a HORRIBLE general election campaign against Michael Bennet. Therefore, I was reticent to support him again and was glad he pulled out of the race.(A friend of mine, who happens to be former Press Secretary for the Colorado House Republicans, told me that he thinks that Gardner is the best statewide candidate that the Colorado GOP has put up in a long time. I will NOT vote Mike Coffman in November (and didn't vote for him in the primary since he ran unopposed.) He's got the support of the Chamber of Communists and the Pro-Amnesty group Americans for a Conservative Direction, a group that is comprised of Haley Barbour and George W. Bush Republicans who HATE AMERICA and want to turn us into a Third World Economy in their thirst for "cheap" labor. He also supported the current version of the Violence Against Women Act, that was passed on the backs of Democrats and the House GOP leadership. Mike Coffman will almost certainly beat back Andrew Rominoff since he won in 2012 against a more viable Democratic candidate and an energized Democratic base./rwa

Beauprez is a slimy GOPe hack. Like Romney, he is “electable”. We shall see.

The only winners last nite were the GOP establishment. Disappointing evening all around for freedom and liberty. Let’s hope Beauprez doesn’t do something stupid like pick a Janet Rowland as his running mate. Beauprez is the only candidate I can see myself voting for. Tipton will certainly not be getting my vote in CD3.

"Did conservatives have a good night?" is the question I'm interested in hearing the answer to.

"Where it mattered, the establishment choice was as conservative on issues as any other candidate running."The article does not go on to explain where it does and does not "matter." Smells fishy.

The posted column is excellent analysis of what’s really goning in in Colorado.
As for your anti-Coffman rant, your assertion that he’ll likely beat Andrew Rominoff is ill informed.
Rominoff has a ton of money in addition to DNC and Pelosi targetting Coffman for defeat.
If you couldn’t find a sainted conservative to run against Coffman in the Primary, get off of his back on your pet issues and examine his entire voting record.
Which is about 90% Conservative.
So, you may want to reconsider the impact of leaving the door open for a 0% Conservative like Andrew Rominoff, because this country has no time for ill conceived, non-votes, intended to “teach ‘em a lesson”, that will never be received.

Beauprez was not my first choice but he is a solid conservative and will be happy to vote for him.

Same here. I voted for Tancredo and now will vote for Beauprez.
Buck and Gardner did the right thing when they chose who would run for which office.

I’ll hold my nose and vote for Tipton. I’m in La Plata county.
