Conservatives Urge McDaniel To Run as Write-In Candidate in the Fall
Breitbart News ^ | 6-25-14 | Dan Riehl

Pointing out that post-election challenges usual fail, one Tea Party leader, Judson Phillips is calling for Thad Cochran's primary challenger, State Senator Chris McDaniel to run as a write-in candidate in the Fall.

“The Republican Establishment thinks they have fought back an insurrection from conservatives and now we will meekly fall in line in November and support a RINO who needs Democrats to win? Never,” said Mr. Phillips, who also writes a column in The Washington Times. “If Chris McDaniel loses his challenges to this election, then he needs to be a write-in candidate this fall.”

It's increasingly clear that Democrat votes, particularly from Mississipi's African American community helped Thad Cochran eek out a win over McDaniel in the GOP primary. Those votes would most likely go to a Democrat in the Fall, meaning McDaniel may have a good chance at winning in a three man race.

It may be the only way the R is able to keep the seat! Is it feasible ?

I agree! Even if it splits the vote and the Dem wins that might be the cost of winning the long game, and we should be playing the long game.

If I were a Mississippi voter I'd change my registration to 'No Party' and write in McDaniel in November.
With very few exceptions, the GOP is nothing more than the Democrat party wearing masks in conservative districts.

A write in campaign CAN win.

Look at the June 3 results here:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-tran/elections/2014-primaries-june3

(Mississippi results are down the page)

Notice the top vote getter that night was McDaniel. The ENTIRE Democrat slate didn’t get HALF the votes of EITHER Republican.

I don’t think Cochran will get DEMOCRAT votes in the general election, do you?

McDaniel could repeat what he did on June 3 and be the next Senator from Mississippi.

Would it not be wise to first re-count, verify the ballots? I understand some in MS contemplating doing just that.

From everything I’ve read here this past month, Cochran is worse than most of the Democrats in the Senate.

I hope they fight this election fraud, tooth and nail. But that may be difficult if they have to work with a gang of RINOs in the state government and the AG office.

If that fails, then write-in next fall, by all means. There might even be some chance of winning, given the level of Cochran’s fraud and lies in this primary.

It worked for Murkowski.

“Would it not be wise to first re-count, verify the ballots?”

Yes. McDaniel should challenge every single vote. I believe he may have actually won this race.

If that doesn’t work...write-in campaign

Run, Chris, run! It’s time to start dismantling the existing GOP piece by piece, starting with Turd Cochran, or we will NEVER have an opposition party in Congress that stands up for the Constitution, conservativism, limited government, and individual liberty.

tried for over a half hour to access his website and it seems to be crashing! Probably due to a avalance of people urging him to run as a write in!

McDaniel will not win on the fraud case; it is too difficult to prove and he’s got to come up with 7,000 fraudulent votes - in my view, these were legitimate votes, but they and many other Cochran votes came from Demos who had never voted in a Republican primary and may have been paid to. My suggestion would be a strong write-in campaign with stickers distributed to our voters. There is obviously NOTHING in the Republican Party for us but to send a message to the Cochrans, Roves and McCains.

It may be the only recourse.

But I wonder, since so many people don’t “get it” that his name is McDaniel, NOT McDaniels, if people who added an “s” to his name would have their ballots disqualified. That would be terrible. That issue should be addressed beforehand.

I say do it. We’ve bailed out GOPe candidates for a long time only to have them backstab us on numerous occasions. It’s civil war in the GOP. Time to take the establishment on full force.
