The main losers in baseball are the people sad enough to watch it and pass it off to others as a credible sport.

One of the more rabid/nonsensical statements on this from my Uruguayan friends (translated here):

Surely you were wrong and very angry yesterday with the English, who demand your immediate crucifixion. They are omnipotent, they have a queen whom God saves.

They with their imperial lineage have chewed up this story, with the difference that they have God's blessing. They blew into colonialist Africa with fire and sword; killing, raping and biting (human resources) in the name of God and the Queen.

They bombed Baghdad with their northern cousins​​, in the name of democracy and humanity. They dictate morality, judge and jury.

I'm having a hard time recognizing some of my Uruguayan friends over this matter. People who are otherwise sane and loveable have morphed into blithering idiots on this topic.
