FIFA have yet to tell the Reds whether suspension for biting prevents striker Barcelona now hope to buy on the cheap from training at Melwood

Liverpool have joined the Uruguayan FA in considering legal action against Fifa after it hit Luis Suarez with a four month ban from football for his biting shame.

Suarez's Liverpool career is in the balance after he was punished for his bite on Italy's Giorgio Chiellini.

The striker was due back in Uruguay this morning, after being told to leave his team's World Cup base.

Liverpool are furious that Fifa included a four month ban "from any football-related activities" as part of the player's punishment, the Times reports.

Suarez is preparing to appeal against the immediate ban.

But Liverpool are also reportedly considering the possibility of bringing a lawsuit against Fifa over its decision to effectively ban him from club - as well as international - football.

As things stand the striker could miss his club's first NINE matches of the new season.

Look out Scousers’ about. They just don’t understand how he could get games when the Italian still had his watch and wedding ring on after the attack!

I think Suarez got off pretty easy on his punishment.

John Henry the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool owner must be pissed, this will be the 3rd ban for Suarez while at Anfield for his over active mouth...two for the bites and one for using the ‘N’ word against Man Utd Captain Patrice Evra...

The Fenway Group should see this as balancing out David Ortiz getting away with PED’s for all these years. I guess Suarez will miss playing under the Green Monster this summer in the friendly against Roma.
