We need a halt to all immigration, legal and otherwise, until we can get this whole thing sorted out. We need to seal the southern border for one thing. End foreign aid to countries between Texas and Colombia until a wall gets paid for.

That 40% canard only works by understating by a factor of 3 the total number of illegals here currently.

"Border Security" will be defined as a declaration by John McCain that "we are back on track toward security".

Weasel words for the same old treason.

“I’m on record saying nothing about immigration, until we secure the borders,” McCarthy said. “Until you secure the borders, you cannot have the conversation about anything else.”

But does he mean it?

Anything not Deportation is Amnesty

You do not have Border Security if you let all those who previously violated stay

There is no Border Security without Deportation

No. Usually they will have a plan to have a certification process to show the border is secure, but it will be political and they will simply vote to say the border is secured whether it is or not.

I understand completely the standpoint that we should send home the 30 million or so illegals who are already here.

I am not taking issue with that, though I would go easier on those who are here already.

Not taking anything away from that however, just my own preference. However I very much take issue with not doing something to simply defend the border.

That bothers me enormously, and we need that fixed 100%.

Fixed.

Fence off the border. All of it.

Every inch.

Tell that to the Chinese (who are flooding over by the thousands from Mexico via Cuba).

Obama is encouraging and using this flood of illegal immigrants to achieve some goal, and I’m not even sure what it is.

Of COURSE there’s an opportunity.

AFTER we secure the border,

AFTER we send ALL the illegals home, AND

AFTER Hell Freezes over. . .

The Silicon Valley interests and the Chamber of Commerce constantly keep pressuring Congress to increase limit on H1B visas. The 40% illegals are those who have overstayed their visa is demonstrable evidence that enforcement of even illegals whose identity etc are known and documented goes unenforced!

Obeying the immigration laws. If you are here illegally, you are deported. It is illegal to work here if you are here illegally. And then there are other laws:

False Personation of a U.S. Citizen (18 U.S.C. § 911). Illegal aliens often present themselves as U.S. citizens, an act punishable by up to five years in jail, a felony. This law is often cited in immigration prosecutions and may involve, for example, an alien claiming U.S. citizenship to his employer.

Fraud and False Statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001). It is common for illegal aliens to make false statements to the government or on official documents. An illegal alien violates this law when claiming to be a U.S. citizen on an I-9 Employment Eligibility form and faces a fine and up to five years imprisonment.

Social Security Fraud (42 U.S.C. § 408). This statute has been invoked where an illegal alien provided a false Social Security number for the purpose of acquiring a job, where an illegal alien used a fraudulent Social Security number for the purpose of acquiring a driver's license, and when an illegal alien used a Social Security card belonging to a citizen in order to obtain Section 8 housing, for example. Violation of this statute can result in a fine and/or imprisonment up to five years. The court can also require violators to provide restitution to the victims.

Look at it this way. There is NO WAY the Administration can say the border is secure.

What BS! Does McCarthy think we are so stupid?

As soon as a ‘Border Security Bill’ is passed in the House and sent to the Senate, the Senate will immediately amend it with their Gang of 8 bill including full amnesty. Then the bill will go to conference whose membership is chosen by ...guess....yep, Boehner and McCarthy. Then the conference bill is brought out to the House floor for a vote and all dems and 17 republican “squishes” will vote to pass amnesty.

NO IMMIGRATION BILL! NOT ONE WORD NOT ONE IOTA OF IMMIGRATION LEGISLATION IS TO BE PASSED IN THE HOUSE UNTIL CONSERVATIVES CONTROL CONGRESS AND THE WHITE HOUSE!

RINO translation of “now”: A bill promising to secure the border within 10 years combined with immediate legalization of illegal immigrants.
