The food sampling operation across 20 fast food outlets in Lancashire also found ham on 10 out of 15 pizzas contained turkey DNA
A trading standards department has revealed EVERY takeaway they investigated in a recent inspection has been selling customers pizzas containing fake cheese.
Officers visited 20 outlets in Lancashire for the food sampling operation and performed tests on ingredients used in hundreds of pizzas sold to customers.
Each premises failed on descriptions of the ham, cheese, or both.
The report revealed 19 out of 20 samples were found to contain analogue cheese - an artificial cheesy substance that is much quicker and cheaper to produce than real cheese.
Inspectors found 10 out of the 15 pizzas that purported to contain ham actually contained turkey DNA.
Four samples that were advertised as containing pepperoni were found to contain species in addition to beef or pork.

shocking I’m sure.
Praytell what animal does Pepperoni supposed to come from?
Hope that means chicken!
Pepperoni grows on bushes. Often in the same climate that allows marshmallow bushes.
You know, it’s not all that hard to make pizza from scratch. It tastes a lot better too. Pizza dough and sauce from scratch - close to heaven.
Along the Nile, then?
:p
Whatever happened to fish and chips?
It must be easy to make if they can get it to you so quickly, and very few pizza places actually make bad-tasting pizzas (although sweet sauce is a negative) that it probably would be easy to make at home.
Agree. But is nice to order for delivery sometimes.
I grew out of pizza when I was in my early 20s. Don’t care for it much at all anymore.
Leech pizza is good for you. Starving children in China would love to have those leeches. Now eat yer dang leeches.
It’s very easy to make but to get it out quickly you need pre-made dough. I sometimes whip one up and use a pizza stone to cook it. And you need a really hot oven - one I don’t got.
Americans almost never eat real Mozzarella cheese, which is made from domesticated Italian buffalo, and other breeds of water buffalo. If made from cow’s milk, it is properly called “Fior di latte”.
Yuck E. Cheese.
The Ham is really turkey because the Brit pizzerias don’t want to lose their Halal Muzzie customers.
Crappy cheese puts the kibosh on any Italian food. Don’t even bother with a restaurant that has the grated cheese already sitting on the table in a glass shaker or worse if its a Kraft brand container.
bump
for normal people I guess it’s frozen pizza.
