Yes and why do they insist on turning the roads that professional drivers need to make a living into their personal playground? Delivery truck drivers have a strict schedule they have to follow to make deliveries in hard-to-access mountain businesses and these pedal activists ride three abreast at barely jogging speed just to make the point that they pay for roads too.

I call them the “Gay Italian Bicyclists”. Riding all day in tights on hard saddles is one way to destroy your family jewels.

Problem is that many roads are not designed for cycling and they put themselves and others in danger.

Bikes are for routes like the Cape Cod Bike Path, not narrow roads where they put everyone at risk.

Personally, I think bicyclists need to register their bikes and pay a fee if they are going to be on the roads with vehicles (and subsequently be liable for moving violations). Out my way in Western PA, a LOT of roads are tight (i.e., two full size trucks can barely pass each other without knocking mirrors). Add just one snob bicyclist on that road and the traffic can back up very quickly.
The other thing I have been seeing recently are bicyclists on state routes. I have absolutely no sympathy for them if they get killed in a traffic accident. The road was designed for 50MPH+ for combustion engine vehicles, not peddles; go find a bike route somewhere.

Ever so often a cyclists gets killed on a Houston street. Then they will paint an old bike white and chain it to a light pole and call it a “ghost bike” as a reminder for a driver to not run over one when the cyclists runs a red light or ignores a stop sign.

I always saw cycling as a homosexual activity. It has grown past that, but it still has that flamboyant tone to it.

It goes with the outfit.

I wonder how many cyclists actually dress like that in countries like Holland or Denmark where cycling is actually the prevailing means of transportation.

It attracts folks with cardio but no brawn

Like soccer...a sport for men with less threatening toughness

Indicative of how far the free testosterone of western Caucasian men has fallen

I prefer polo if one must...

I’m a cyclist, mt. biker, and motorcyclist and with a couple of decades of road riding under my belt can, with a considerable degree of authority, say that most roadies are complete and utter tw@ts. I don’t know why single file, especially on a narrow and busy road, is such a difficult concept.
