Conservatives say the U.S. has done enough to create equality for blacks. Young liberals agree.

One last dip into a big Pew survey we've been discussing about on the politics and policy views of Americans. Pew surveyed more than 10,000 adults earlier this year on topics ranging from their views of Hillary Rodham Clinton to taking the bus, and the report divides their responses along a set of political typologies that group respondents into generally coherent categories across the range of policy issues: i.e., the "business conservative," the "solid liberal," the young "next generation left."

Across that spectrum, there is not surprisingly wide disagreement on racial progress in America and the steps government still must take to achieve it. Most of the results on this chart are fairly predictable: Conservatives broadly believe that the government much done all it needs to to ensure equal rights for blacks. Liberals, with one striking exception, overwhelmingly disagree:

It seems that EVEN YOUNG LIBERALS are getting sick and tired of the liberal guilt that affects America-hating Baby Boomers. OPlus, young liberals are tired of being overly sympathetic when many of them cannot find jobs that provide an adequate salary and benefits (or as liberals put it "a livable wage.")/rwa

If you read black bloggers and liberal websites with black respondents, it's obvious many of them firmly believe the evil hand of white racism is still oppressing blacks and making it all but impossible for them to succeed. This is fifty years after the signing of the 1964 Civil Rights Bill creating Affirmative Discriminaton er Action and awarding billions/trillions of tax-payer dollars to black recipients in the form of welfare payments. We have a black president, a black AG, many black big city mayors, and a Congressional Black Caucus. Liberals are in charge of the public school systems in most big cities and many small ones. But still many blacks scream racism.

But fewer and fewer non-blacks believe the lies anymore. They see themselves ignored for jobs they're qualified for and given to minorities with less impressive credentials. They're tired of being called racists by people for whom nothing given is ever enough. Hopefully, in the coming years, the whole AA scam and and favoritism will end. The worst thing that ever happened to black Americans from the passage of the CRB was to be made wards of the state and "victims."

In other words, the reinstatement of slavery, just in a slightly different form. The Democrats realized that the physical chains of slavery had been broken by the Northern victory in the Civil War. So they came up with a design to re-enslave the blacks, this time using mental chains that could never be broken by any army. As well, they convinced their victims to be happy wearing their chains and to demand that their children wear the chains. They have succeeded.
