Voting for the starting position players for the MLB All-Star game ends tonight at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern). The final rosters will have 34 players on a side, with all teams being represented.

Factors I weigh in making my choices (in descending order): 1) How the guy is doing this year. 2) How he did last year. 3) How he did the last two or three years. 4) The guy's whole career.

Nothing but pitchers this time — both teams composed entirely of pitchers.

SS: Ramirez; Escobar.

Where is Jeter?

I just think Alexei Ramirez and Alcides Escobar are much better. But I wouldn’t object if Jeter gets on as a career tribute. He just hasn’t been very good for a couple of years now.

Alexei got my vote, as did another Ramirez(Hanley) in the NL. I am not a Yankee fan but hopefully Jeter can step it up in his last season.

Tulo HAS to be the NL SS. Hanley could be a backup though.

That is likely how it will shape up for the NL and I agree.

That AL catcher be Kurt Suzuki of the Nats's don't want him fame?

LOL Nat's.

Kurt Suzuki is on the Twins this year, and he’s having a good year, and the ASG is in Minneapolis, so he gets my backup spot behind Perez of KC.

Yep and Ramos (Nats) has been on the DL, I like Suzuki and Rizzo dumped him for Ramos. I’m a Phillies fan but Kurt is one of my favorite catchers.

yea. kids.

both teams were ready to run out of pitchers again in an extra inning game. Not a bad game, but I feel let down.

Russell, Ramos, Diaz failed in the key 2-out ABs for NL.
Not exactly Banks, Mays, Clemente.
