Interestingly, the GRG verfied Gertrede Weaver’s age today (although I am dubious of the timing since they don’t know her exact birthday).

At 116, Arkansas woman named oldest American

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Using newly analyzed Census records, researchers have confirmed that a south Arkansas woman is now the oldest living American and second-oldest person in the world.
Gertrude Weaver is celebrating her 116th birthday Friday at her Camden nursing home. At the festivities this week, the Gerontology Research Group named Weaver the oldest living American, supplanting 115-year-old Jeralean Talley, who was born in 1899.
The research group, which consults for the Guinness Book of World Records, says the 1900 Census listed Weaver as 2 years old - putting her birthday in 1898. Although no birth record exists for Weaver, she celebrates her birthday each year on July 4.
Yesterday, they said there were 73 verfied and today with the addtion of one person, they are saying there are 72 verfied. Their list of deaths show the last death on 7/1/2014.
Anna Henderson Born 3/5/1900 in GA died 7/1/2014 in PA at 114 yr, 118 days. That would have put her 6th on the list at the time of death.
