I like your idea of a trebouchet.
How about a thousand of them lined up from San Diego to Corpus Christy?

“That is a political problem. Does it justify turning from the rule of law?”
NO, it is NOT a political problem. That cop is an individual and a citizen among us. NO politician forced him to do that. I don’t do those things, you don’t do those tings, and we all have the same political system. This is a bad person doing a bad thing and he needs punished, yet, he won’t be.
The cop did this because he does not fear punishment and he is a criminal. The political system failed to provide fear of punishment, but his personality is his, not the political system’s.

Are you advocating turning away from the rule of law? "There is no law in McMinn County." - unnamed patriot, Battle of Athens, 1946

You want me to play by the rules. The cops want me to play by the rules. Everyone, including me, wants me to play by the rules.
The other option is very, very ugly.
I also want to hold the cops to the rule of law. He need drug tested for steroids.

The problem in our society is that we want to play by the rules instead of desiring the proper outcomes. When the rules no longer support the proper outcomes we still keep to the rules.
That was crisp!

How about taking charge of the system, and changing the rules to get the proper outcome?
How about insisting that the existing rules get enforced?

“Knee jerk hatred of cops is a leftist trait.”
And after viewing the video, it’s hard to imagine there is any “knee jerk” to the comments here. Cops should not have the unfettered ability to mete out any “punishment” they deem in their pea-brained mentality to be “necessary.” Day after day on FR we are treated to a steady diet of these unwarranted attacks on both us and our pets by these cretins. It’s long past time to put an end to this abuse under color of authority before more than the citizens are victims. Ask yourself what you’d want to do if this woman were a member of your family?

“He need drug tested for steroids.”
We need a new law: “Law enforcement under the influence.” Make it a 20 year sentence.
These cops lock of all kinds of people for illegal drug use, but then they use illegal steroids and carry a gun and government authority.

I'm ok with that. Selling it to any legislature is going to be a problem, what with all the liberal democrats and republicans infesting most legislatures.

I prefer only one possible punishment for any government agent or official that is lawfully convicted of any crime (any crime).
Death penalty by hanging.
I don't want to support the miscreant for 20 years.

Because those enforcing "the Calvinball rules" are willing to kill to get their way and have demonstrated it repeatedly. I fear that there is no solution outside of voting from the rooftops.

I think hes following doctrine. He wants her to lie prone with her hands behind her back, and she is resisting, as far as he is concerned. His blows accomplish their purpose and he cuffs her. See what happens when you skip Respect They Jackboot Authoritay 101 in high school?

We don’t call CHP Officers “Troopers”.
The question should be asked, WWJZD - What would George Zimmerman do?
