The police department in Tucson, Ariz. has released raw video footage from the camera police officer Joel Mann was wearing when he brutally pummeled a female student who was walking innocuously just off the campus of the University of Arizona.
The newly-released footage and other, cell phone-taken video of the same incident from a different perspective was taken on Saturday, March 29. Tucson police had deployed in full pseudo-military riot gear in case students and fans damaged any property after the Arizona Wildcats mens basketball team lost an overtime thriller to the Wisconsin Badgers. The police department has also released an inquiry boards review of police actions that Saturday night, reports local ABC affiliate KGUN.
The review strongly criticizes the rogue cops actions. It also notes that the FBI is investigating Mann for possible civil rights violations.
In the frightening video, Mann (wearing a a helmet and face shield) comes out of absolutely nowhere and violently pushes student Christina Gardilcic over a metal frame. She is smashed head over heels to the ground.
Gardilcic had neither a helmet nor a face shield. She was wearing shorts.
Turns out, Manns body-worn camera shows that the brutal cop was involved in a similar incident where he attacked a defenseless woman just eight minutes earlier.
In the earlier incident, the sergeant with 18 years of experience yells move several times to no one in particular. Then, he violently shoves a woman into a man sitting in a chair.

I hope these victims sue the ass off that criminal cop. He should be in jail.
What was wrong with this guy? It sounds like he was on drugs.
I loved the word he used “inappropriate action” sounds so innocent vs ‘attacked’ or ‘pummeled’ or ....
18 years experience.
And I’m sure this is the first time that he has done anything like this.
I was amused by the description "rogue cop". Thirty years ago, he would have been a rogue cop, someone very much out of the ordinary. But today, well, let's just drop the "rogue".
Well he got home safe didn’t he???
The only thing that was missing was a dog to shoot — keep rolling the tape I’m sure it’s on there somewhere.
Too many stories of cops beating up on the elderly or defenseless citizens ...
In a just world, this girl’s father and about a half dozen of his friends would take care of this son of a bitch with some pilfered clothesline and tree.
Real tough little JBT shoving a GIRL. What a friggin p()ssy!
< yeah, right >
You know it has to be bad when the department is tossing the thug under the bus this quickly.
Safest way to do their jobs.
This is the kind of cop that one day will hurt the wrong person. You know the father that has contacts in the mob or union and lots of money. The sister or girlfriend of S.F.O. returning from rotation over seas. Just saying sh@t happens when you do bad things to people.
Just gettin’ his ya-yas.
I believe these folks are Sociopaths/ Psychopaths.
They tend to gravitate to government jobs, and police work appeals to them due to the power/control abilities of the job.
I would bet that this pansy would wet his pants if he was caught by the girl’s father in a dark alley without his gun and badge. Cops are always bad asses as long as they have their badge and gun. And don’t ever believe they’re on the side of the patriot.
