A South Carolina homeowner would have been at a distinct disadvantage to a man who invaded his home early Thursday.
Orlandous Brown, 33, suffers from cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair.
But the Easley, S.C. man had a gun and used it to defend himself against 26 year-old Atlanta native Darin Lowe, according to The Greenville News.
Both exchanged gunfire in Browns living room. The wheelchair-bound man prevailed, however, shooting Lowe several times, killing him. Brown was shot as well but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Latisha Vernon, a friend of Browns, and her 17 year-old daughter were in the house during the shootout and called police.
Anderson County sheriff John Skipper said that Brown and Lowe likely knew each other.
We think there was a targeted issue here, Skipper said, according to WYFF.
The individual had a conversation with the victim that was relayed to us and apparently he was looking for something like they had some kind of a connection there. So we dont think theres anything for the public to worry about.
Don’t forget aspiring rapper.
Good news for once.
From which he’s moved to the choir invisible.
God Bless Mr.Brown!!!!! He did what he was supposed to do,...handicap notwithstanding...and killed a verminous pest who was invading the sanctity of his home...all I can say is...job well done Mr. Brown!!!
An important side note, which may or may not play a part in this case. People who are handicapped and the elderly are being targeted more, based on the assumption that they have prescription narcotics.
Thus it is important that they are at least aware of being potential targets.
According to Gabby Giffords’ husband, he should have died rather than defend himself.
“...like they had some kind of a connection there. So we dont think theres anything for the public to worry about.
Not any more anyway, for sure.
“My baby ain’t done never hurt nobody.”
“And he ain’t going to ever again, ma’am.”
This is another story of ideal gun control. Mr. Brown effectively hit exactly what he was aiming at. I just love stories with happy endings.
he just wanted some skittles poor boy.
Let’s see... wheelchair-bound man shoots/kills home invader.
I think that qualifies as a “happy ending”!

The cop was referring to revenge, I believe.
