Premieres Wednesday July 30 at 9 PM.
Be there or be square!
I recommend that SyFy produce more serious SF and then these B-movies would be even more spectacular.
You’re not on the ping list because why?
rifftrax is doing sharknado next thursday at select theaters.
Kari Wuhrer, I’m there.
Because I have never even seen it.
I am square, that’s the stupidest thing ever, and really signals the dumbing down of American culture.
Shhh, Ow My Balls is on.
Time to oil up my chainsaw.
this must be a sign of the apocalypse
Please ping me when they show SHARKTOPUS.
Anyone up for some Zombeavers?
Eric Roberts is an acting deity!
Sharknado 2: Electric Huskerdu?
I don’t get it either.
I watched about 15 min, and thought, “Ok. I get this, it is a really, Really, REALLY cheesy movie, along the same lines of the “Attack of The Killer Tomatoes”, which had plumbed the depths of that “cheesy” genre.
This Sharknado thing does seem to have that same following as the “Killer Tomatoes” movie, but...for more than one?
I don’t understand it.
How can they top sharknado 1?
They fly through the air with the greatest of ease,
Those magnificent sharks on their flying trapeze.
They will also play the original Sharknado on 7/30:
“I dont understand it.”
It’s because it’s so DELIBERATELY bad it’s funny. Like watching a latter day “Plan 9 from Outer Space”.
LOL, that I get, but..to make multiple sequels, puzzles me. Is it not only to have a bad movie but you also have to have more of it to achieve another level of notoriety.
Horror/comedies seem to be alive and well and they serve an entertainment purpose. One can keep his mind active looking for all the comedic lines/situations.
“but you also have to have more of it to achieve another level of notoriety”
Indeed. So the big question is can they make Sharknado II WORSE than Sharknao I!
Judd Hirsch playing, wait for it, a taxi driver!!! Put down your politics and fear the SHARKNADO!!!
This movie was a hoot from the beginning! Airplane, Twilight Zone, and other hijacks that I’m not sure about in the first ten minutes. Judd Hirsch as a taxi driver doing Ernest Borgnine’s lines from “Escape from Ney York.” Too many, too quick. Kinda like “Airplane” with more material.
also the Subway dude who lost weight on it and the girl reporter looks like Jennifer Aniston, Robert Hayes as the Pilot like in Airplane, Matt and Al doing the weather, Kelly Osborn and Billy Ray Cyrus. It would be cooler if they asked William Shatner to do a scene LOL
Babe, You got it right. This more like “Scary Movie” parodies but with better cameos.
I looked for the cameos, but I guess I don’t know my celebs any more. What role did Kelly Osborne play? I didn’t recognize her.
She was the Airline Stewardess in the opening of the movie.
With the purple hair? Got it! Thanks.
I keep forgetting that people grow up. Mentally, I see her as the same way she was on Ozzie’s show, and that started more than 10 years ago.
Yes I remember how she looked but she has slimmed down. Unfortunately in the opening of the movie, she became the first victim of Sharknado II LOL.
Watching this right now on Syfy! This may be my new alltime favorite movie :) LOL
