It was 20 years ago this year, Pink Floyd began to disappear. But now it seems the classic British band is about to materialize again.
Polly Samson, the wife of the band's lead singer-guitarist David Gilmour, has announced via Twitter that a Pink Floyd album called “The Endless River” will be released come October. But Samson says it’s “based on 1994 sessions,” which would seem to indicate these will be old tracks goosed with new overdubs. Pink Floyd released what seemed to be its final album, “The Division Bell,” in April 1994 (an album that just received the deluxe reissue treatment).

I saw Pink Floyd in Phoenix, doing the Dark side of the Moon album, outside.
They did Money and it started to rain. The roadies gathered up the equipment and one of the Floyd guys grabbed a mike before it was terminated in a very English accent said, “I’m sorry, but it’s just not worth it”.
Was sooo disappointed.
Not given my money to Liberals.
I saw Dark Side of the Moon and Animals, in Montreal, outdoors. The sound system was insane. Could not tell the back of the venue from the front, so much sound piled in the back! And of course, massive stacks of speakers right and left, too. Quad. Real quad. Props were nuts too. Plane flies into the stage, explosion, movies, flying pig. Great show.
“Not given my money to Liberals.”
Not gonna glorify them either. You all here that glorify PF need to re-evaluate where your priorities lie.
Same with Hollywood movies.
Starve the Beast.
“What’s the title, Juden Raus?”
Excellent. Very well played.
Saw the same show in Long Island.....at least I think i did.
Never liked their “music” even from the beginning, even before everyone here knew they were a bunch of imbecile libtards.
Oh, how I remember those speakers! Yes! The train sounded as if it came from one side and ran over you to the other.
A whole record about how Jews are evil?
Who gives a shyte? Bunch of queer lefties who have outlived their outlived their relevance.
I hope that was only Waters antisemitism , which he wasn’t involved at the time of this recording. I did see Mason join him in his call for the Stones not to play Israel. Stones played Israel. Eff Waters and Mason.
‘86 and ‘92 i believe.
Two of the greatest shows i have ever seen....
May G-d grant Mr Waters justice.
Regardless what anyone here thinks of Pink Floyd, their music or political thoughts, David Gilmour can mop up the floor with most guitarists. Check out “Live In Gdansk”
Great band, great musicians. Looking forward to the new album.
Dittos - but, they opened their yaps and now I’m not interested in them anymore. Too bad....
Dang it! I was saving my money for that new Cowsills album.
"The Rain, The Park, & Other Things" was recently covered by Olivia Newton-John. Not a fan of that cover but diehard Cowsill fans might want to check it out.
Great. Now I have to buy that Olivia Elton-John album.
Now that I have become fully aware of PF’s politics, agendas and machinations...they will not see another red cent out of my pocket, ever.
I won’t either.
I prefer “Summertime Blues” by Blue Cheer.
OH Boy would Roger Waters stick up his nose record with Gilmour I thought they don’t like each other
Roger don’t like Scarlett Johsnarn and Rolling Stones
And it was a nice send-off for Rick Wright. Great to hear Gilmour and Wright on "Echoes" one last time.
