How did this cat travel 200 miles away from home by himself?
A cat that had been missing for nine weeks has been found more than 200 miles away from his home.
The brilliantly named Obi Wan Catobi was found by builders in a unfinished hotel near Euston train station on Thursday.
After the RSPCA caught the wayward moggie they discovered his microchip, which revealed he had travelled all the way from Leeds.
When they got in touch with owner Adam Williams, 32, he told them that Obi went missing in April after he moved house within the Leeds area.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Adam said: How he got himself down there I have no idea.
Some people suggested a train, because the hotel was near Euston train station, but that would have meant him changing several times.
Adam, who has since been reunited with Obi, said it would be unlikely that he hitched a ride in a vehicle, as the adventurous cat hates getting in cars.
RSPCA Central & North East London Branch, which is a separate organisation and funded entirely from collection boxes, say this incident highlights how important it is to microchip animals.
Even if Obi did use the train to get to London, he would have had to have Jedi-like powers to try and navigate the Tube.
Obi used the Schwartz!

Quit calling ‘im a “mog” and he might just stick around.
And to be honest? I'm not sure I want to know why or how. Some things are not meant for men to know.
I was gonna my cat a chip, but he might get transported back to my ex.
Kitties never tell.
Probably a minor malfunction in the teleport device bringing him back from a reporting trip to his home planet.
Looks like that ‘What has been seen cannot be unseen’ kitty.
Probably looking for a family who would give him a better name.
A basement cat from Leeds wanders off and reappears 200 miles away.
Wonder who he harvested, and which monty python skit he was thinking of.
“Well, that’s British Rail for you”.
We once had a cat who spent a semester with a college kid whose car he crawled into as the kid was leaving for school.
The Force is strong with this one . . .
Cats are smart. I think he could have managed.
I once picked up a friend for an overnight trip and we put his bag in the trunk of my car. We stopped for breakfast about 50 miles down the road and heard a cat in our trunk. It was his.
Kitty was picked up by Lister in a parallel universe, and want out clubbing with him the night he got drunk in London and signed up for service on the small Rouge One?
Or kitty was beamed up by Data’s cat for a fortnight, and then back down again?
Maybe Ripley’s cat knows....
They neglected to mention the interview with Obi himself where he was quoted as aaying “Damn, they found me....”.....
Obi decided to book a trip on Travelocity. Moving is hard so he needed a vacation.
I was just thinking that maybe the cat hopped a ride in a car somehow or that some teenagers picked up the cat and took it for a ride to the countryside!
One amazing journey! :) =^..^=
BTW, thanks for the ping.
In Florida, it costs $58.00 for a cat. Been debating doing this to an indoor cat.
I got 2 tuxedos I brought in from the woods about a year apart. they both appeared abandoned and not entirely feral.
I've had them for several years as indoor/outdoor cats. One of them almost died from flea bites a few years ago. We had a flea epidemic in NJ at that time.
Now they're strictly indoor, although I'll carry them outside a few times a day.
I got one who is easy to to catch. The other one likes to escape when she can, especially now with the warmer weather. She's fast!
What I find interesting is that the slower one is like a flea magnet and the fleas avoid the escapee like the plague.
You’re welcome, and less than $100, IIRC. Highly recommended.
Thanks again. Gonna check this out.
Haven’t seen this in the replies so far but umm I’m thinking he walked? maybe?
Oh, look at that smart kittie. Clearly Obi Catobi has Jedi powers.

Wouldn’t surprise me. One of my cats, Weasel, once ordered a Christmas tree from the internet after I had ordered one and left the room for a few minutes. She wanted an additional tree, I suppose. Took me a very long time to try and straighten it out with the christmas tree company, as their Customer Service consisted of e-mail exchanges with an entity only known as “Rudolf”. He was not amused that I laid the blame on the cat, which was exactly what happened.
Cats are amazing!! Most people think they are lazy, but I think they are planning to take over the world. I think they could govern better then Washington.

Couldn’t agree more! The only thing they have in common with Obama, however, is their ability to blame others for everything, specifically dogs. For medical reasons, (mine), the cats now live in a special “catio” outside, and can no longer put the blame on the dog. But they used to always engineer food pilfering and the like to look as if the dog had done it.
The shelter I volunteer for in Ft. Lauderdale only charges like $5.00 for a microchip. The most expensive vet I know charges $50.
