Appeals court rules immigrant ‘dreamers’ can get driver’s licenses

A federal appeals court ruled Monday that young adult illegal immigrants whom President Obama has given tentative permission to be in the country — so-called “dreamers” — are also entitled to driver’s licenses and ordered Arizona to issue them.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer blasted the court’s ruling, saying it could end up meaning her state would have to grant driver’s licenses to some of those in the latest wave of illegal immigrants if Mr. Obama finds ways to avoid deporting them too.

From the article:

“The judges said Congress has given the executive branch “broad discretion” to decide whether illegal immigrants are able to live and work in the U.S., and the judges said Arizona was interfering with that ability.”

Sounds like an argument they can use for everything illegal invasion.

Just give them the license, pull them over a week later for driving without insurance, revoke their license. Our local paper features a “police blotter”, and most of the Hispanic names are shown as “driving without insurance nd/or registration”.

Congress has given the executive branch “broad discretion” to decide whether illegal immigrants are able to live and work in the U.S.

This is a form of amnesty and they are no longer illegals. I say they are now legal invaders.

They also don’t “get it” on drinking and driving.

Not to worry, you can probably hold your breath long enough to see/hear that a Fed. judge will “find” that they’re also eligible to vote.

Nothing, repeat, nothing, is a “state issue” any more. And since a driver’s license can be used to get an airplane ticket (anyone remember 9/11?), standby for more terrorists to use our southern border as an entry point.

The problem is not with our laws, customs or people, but rather with a small group of black robed emperors that have too much power that is undemocratically checked.

Thanks. I’d better set aside more money for my uninsured motorist coverage.

That’s what we were told. That is why we have to get a license and obey traffic laws.

Don't concealed carry permits require that the applicant be a legal resident of some state?
