I just spent the last nine hours reading Brad Thor's latest thriller- Act of War.

It will definitely go down as one of his best. Five stars - Highly recommended.

Saw Brad Thor TU night on FNC's "Kelly File". Didn't realize he had a professional background in anti-terrorism before he started writing for a living. I have "Act of War" RSVPed at my local library.

Really enjoyed Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn, and Brad Thor novels. So sad that we lost Clancy and Flynn last year.

I believe both Brad Thor and Vince Flynn were Navy Seals.

I just bought “Hidden Order” .. and I haven’t started it yet. But, I’ll be sure and get “Act of War”. I really enjoy reading Brad’s books.

I have not yet read a Brad Thor novel. Flynn and Clancy of course and several others. I read about a half dozen of Daniel Silva's books but not too excited about those.

Based on what you wrote, I will give this guy a look.

Got a few Brad Thor books after Vince Flynn(RIP) passed away. Haven’t started them yet but hope they are as compelling as Flynn’s books.

They are!
I’ve read all of them, and only one I didn’t care for.....the rest are excellent!

Ha! There are maybe 3 of Flynn’s I didn’t care for so looks like Thor will be an interesting discovery. My to be read pile is high think I will bump Thor’s books up so I can have them read this month.

I believe both Brad Thor and Vince Flynn were Navy Seals.

Nope, but they both wrote about fictional SEALs.

Consider piling it higher.

These are my novels.

His “professional background in anti-terrorism” is that he was a novelist who later at one point was asked to give his thoughts to some govt. folks about terrorism. He spins that into some “former red cell” moonshine.

Just got it. At Chapter 5, I think. Writing is a little weak, but the story is good so far. Variation on the China attacks U.S. via Muslim proxy theme.

“Hidden Order” was one of my least favorite books by Brad Thor. But then every opinion is a personal thing, just like “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. That said, I’ll eagerly read the new book. Mitch Rapp was my favorite character and I’ll sorely miss Vince Flynn. Somebody told me a ghost writer was hired to continue the Rapp series and I certainly hope this is true.

I believe I’ve read all of Daniel Silva’s, never had one I didn’t like. Try Nelson Demille, for something slightly different.
