We still remember although trend is to say "communism was not so bad". Kill them all!
Wat?
Good video. Very moody and atmospheric. Seems to tell a story. I google translated the words. Is this your band?
It’s related to the Great deportation in Estonia on 25 March 1949. The Soviet Russians deported 20,000 people from E to Siberia. Mostly, the victims were country people. The photos remind the happy era of pre-WW II, and the suitcases are very common symbol of deportation in Estonian film visuals.
Found in youtube replies.
Not my band. Singer is my relative, but I learned it only recently.
Lyrics are the key for me. I’ll give a translation of a small bit as this is surely better than machine translation.
Death came unexpectedly,
Suddenly kicked down the door,
Spit on my floor and spit in my soul,
Death came unexpectedly
This song is meant to carry on some of the feelings we feel here in the bloodlands.
This song is what I think an artistic person says. The massacres happened in the late 30s early 40s and for me ... I didn’t even know about them as my parents were too scared to tell me about history. Grew up knowing my grandparents are dead ... didn’t believe they deserved it as Soviet propaganda said, but didn’t know what happened either.
Whoa, head-banger music with a real message and vocals that can be understood. Not at all like the mindless hedonistic unintelligible screaming of our currant head-banger music.
Is this spam?
nah. just the most pessimistic songs coming true. not the 1992 movie “Comrade’s of Summer” as Obama might have stupidly believed pushing his defunct reset button.
