Demographics here could be a key variable between the two cities.
Toronto is ethnically/racially the most diverse city on earth.
Careful cause gun control advocates will surely use this to bolster their case.

Do a racial pie chart of Chicago, then one of Toronto. Put the two pie charts next to each other. I think you will soon discover why one city has a much higher level of violence than the other.

You are correct, the last provinces to allow slavery had it ended by the Crown in the 1830s. Ontario abolished it in the 1790s; IIRC the debate lasted two days.

It was US policy to defend Canada since at least the 1920s IIRC. Had the Nazis landed in Canada Roosevelt would’ve jumped in. Such a scenario could make for an interesting Harry Turtledove novel.

Even a literal crack addict can run a city better than a democrat and former Obama Administration chief of staff. Think about that.OMG - that is so good... Thanks for sharing. (Maybe Chicago needs another 12,000 gun control laws...yep that's the ticket...)
