A woman has developed a nose-like growth eight years after a stem cell treatment to cure her paralysis failed.
At the Hospital de Egas Moniz in Lisbon, Portugal, the unnamed woman, a U.S. citizen, had tissue from her nose implanted in her spine.
Doctors hoped the cells would develop into neural cells and help repair the nerve damage to the woman's spine.
But the treatment failed.
However, last year, eight years after the stem cell operation, the woman, then 28, complained of increasing pain in the area.
Doctors discovered a three-centimetre-long growth, which was found to be mainly nasal tissue, as well as bits of bone and nerve branches that had not connected with the spinal nerves.

So what, Obama grew an ass on his head.
Monty pYthon had a skit or two that come to mind..
A man with three buns
A man with a nose he blew in his armpit
But wow, a nose like appendage on your back
I wouldn't know what to think of a person who grew a nose on their back intentionally.
But after 8 years? What triggered the sudden growth? If they remove it will it come back? ...................
That guy needs to carry an umbrella with him at all times.
And not a human ass but a horse’s ass.
They would have to stop eating beans and cabbage.....................
Obama walks into the Oval Office with a frog on his head.
Joe says “hey! where’d you get that!?”
Frog says, “well, it started out as a wart on my ass.”.
adult stem cell or embryonic?
Also, a man with a tape recorder up his nose.
This DNA therapy stuff might need more research
It’s the Leader’s Nose. Something must have gone wrong in the transference.
Seems they ain’t quite got all the bugs out of this stem cell stuff...............
The body is a funny thing to start with, injecting foreign substances into it besides drugs and silicone, especially genetic related may take root in some folks, others , they successfully devour it thru their own immune system is my best guess.
It took awhile but something got mushmashed, too bad it didn’t help her, but eventually, the right combo may land and help her spinal condition.
Will it come back? My guess, no. But I’m not a doctor.
MANY people have grown tumors from using ABORTED EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS!!! DUH......God will NOT be mocked.
