In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Rise and Shine kiddies! It’s FRiday. Homework on the blackboard, apples on my desk.
It’s getting easier to sit at a desk, but I think I will grade homework on my kindle. I have worked hard this week to make progress in bending my knee again and I am pleased with the results. I am getting there.
At times I am Verklempt at the state of affairs in our country.
Im wondering if we could combine all of the words from the past week into one sentence?
I am a verklempt clinger.
Between the porous border, the general lawlessness of the current regime, and the outright lies we are told daily, I am completely Verklempt.
A++ I used to use them all in a paragraph.
A++ You are not alone.
Unemployed, she needed cash, so she temped
Cleaned her act up, she stopped looking unkempt
Birth control pills? She can buy
Walgreens will not deny
Happy just to be working, she’s verklempt
A++ Nothing wrong with that.
I'm felling a bit verklempt! Talk amongst yourselves.I'll give you a topic.
A+++ Certainly not that fluke girl.
Morning, it’s dye job Friday!
A worthy day. Have fun being pampered.
As Michelle waived her tiny gloved hand from her speeding limo to a verklempt crowd, we vomited profusely, but discretely.
I think I'm about to start getting fur-clamped!
Nothing tiny about that one. A++
Glad to hear you’re improving!
Repitition is key. Somebody told me that their mother would force her heel back as far as it would go and hold it as long as she could (hurts in the beginning) every time she sat down. It works.
Isn’t that farklempt is Yiddish? Verklemmt is German.
A++ I stopped listening long ago.
Great news - I’m sure this hasn’t been an easy recovery but you seem to be on the mend nicely!
GMTA! I posted before looking at the thread.
Yeah, the new 2x10 ledger boards are now in place up under the porch ... Of course, before I can drill through and bolt them up to finish the job, I need to worklemp them together firmly with C-clamps and braces so they don’t slip ...
The situation in England leaves me verklempt:
Even distracts me from the news in Israel.
Shabbat Shalom, everyone!
A++ Sounds like a plan.
Missed you in class.
I was fortunate enough to get a little last-minute job installing ceramic tile in a customer’s small den-they had already ripped up the carpet and pad, it was an easy installation, so my compadre and I decided to do it ourselves, yesterday and this morning, cutting the cost to the customer and making enough for ourselves to buy groceries for our respective households for the week.
Small one-and-two person jobs like that are becoming common. It isn’t enough money for luxuries, but it pays bills and buys food, so I’m thankful for it.
I had a coupon from the beauty supply for a bottle of Argan oil hair conditioner-the kind you put on before you shampoo and leave on for an hour or so-I bought some and am trying it now-it has a nice clean herbal smell, but it feels like I have cooking oil or something on my hair-as soon as the hour is up, I’ll wash my hair and see if this stuff is worth buying without a coupon...
Oh, good. I was wondering where you were.
