I went to all five first-round matches at RFK stadium during World Cup ‘94... I had submitted my name to US Soccer during a USA vs. Ireland match that I attended in May 1992 — and I got picked from a lottery, getting 2 tickets per match. I paid $32 per ticket and was seated three rows behind one of the goal posts. I have an entire photo album of just these games.
My favorite first-round match that I attended was Italia - Mexico. My dad & stepmom told me that they saw me on TV all the way from Puerto Rico, as apparently some cameraman liked my All-Italia outfit in contrast with my friend Judith’s All-Mexico outfit and got us on-air. I remember it was June 28, 1994. I’ve actually found a copy of that game on eBay and plan to purchase it.
My favorite Final was 1982 — Italy vs. Germany. A fantastic match.
