Rifle and shotgun possession were deregulated, and gun access for hunters, Nazi Party members, and government officials was expanded. The legal age to own a gun was lowered. Jews, however, were prohibited from owning firearms and other dangerous weapons. Sure, you have some crazy lefties who think all of humanity can get along by enlightenment and enough bong hits around a campfire, but those are a minority.

“Liberal gun owner” is not oxymoronic, but close. Liberals who own guns are confident that if/when gun laws become confiscatorily restrictive, that they will be among the privileged elite allowed to have guns.
As in New York state or any other state than requires a Firearms Owner I.D. card. Lose the FOID for any reason (such as treatment for mental illness) and the police show up at your door and they take your guns away. It’s already happening.
