The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.'

You got it.

Pleasant memories, or a time when America was sane?

“America” was powerful, an excellent, must-see picture. Like Keith pointed out, though, the premise of the title, “America: Imagine the World Without Her” is not fully explored. It was not what we thought it might be. Instead the movie deals with debunking the main “biggie” liberal lies about the United States. I guess the “imagine the world without her” part is something we are left to do based on how wonderful America is and all it has truly given to the world and the people here. I give the film five stars, and we gave it a round of applause in the theater when it ended.

Cool. Does it specifically target Hillary and Obama? If so, what does it say about Hillary?

A good lineup. It’s been too long since a Whistler played...

There’s a great last hour tonight...

Yes, it brings a young Hillary in, during the Saul Alinsky segment near the end. She was innocent, pure as the wind-drive snow before she met Alinsky (yeah). Both Obama and Hillary and Saul Alinsky are discussed. D’Souza doesn’t go terribly deeply into Hillary, though, except to point out, in so many words, that’s she’s just as much a devil as Obama.

Very good lineup! Throw in a “Suspense,” and we’d be “over-joyed.” :-)

Always, Vision, always, and a big tip o’ the horns to my stepson, who rewired part of our central AC circuit to make it so. I keep it like a meat locker in here, much to the wife’s dismay. LOL Looks like you’ve got a spot of unsettled weather headed your way from the west........

How cold do you keep it?

Yea, they’ve been calling for some storms. It’s the wind that damages trees which I get annoyed with.

Depending on the time of day I’ll nudge it down to 73 or 74, but with at least two floor registers in every room, it can feel like Quebec in January if you’re close enough to one to catch the draft. The thermostat will have to read 79 or 80 before she’ll kick the AC on. I think she’s part reptile. I’m like my late father. But hey, thirty years ago I used to bristle when I was told I was definitely my father’s son. Now I take it as high praise.
