They come here for a better life?Well, that depends on what metropolitan towns they get sent to.But it would be predictable that many of the refugees will wind up in those "Third World Units" where we know that up to 10 or so people are sharing. In many cases, they will be sharing one or two bedrooms and one toilet. So is this what the Liberals promised to these children crossing the border?Bad enough being sardined into detention centers, sharing toilets, very little food, and then if they find a home, their living conditions wont be much different.Sooner or later many of these refugees will be begging to go back home.
Sounds like some safe houses used by U.S. Forces outside the wire in combat zones.
I’ve been a renter also...my kids grown up and on their own. Funny you should mention getting an RV as I’ve pondered looking into that. ...and where you would put them as I understand they can only be parked in certain areas. Not sure where or what those places might be yet. There’s showers and water concerns as well as electric.
Meanwhile I ‘love’ renting.....never have to bother with maintenance and so far have had excellent landlords. Never had a bad landlord so I’ve been blessed in that respect.
The place I have now has been ideal as only one other unit...and that’s been empty for almost three months now. They aren’t in any hurry to rent to just anyone.
But with these people coming and going....as they do...and seems to be getting worse I may very well be looking for a change.
It would where I was born and raised. In small farming communities everyone still knows each other. And they are closed for the most part. If things get bad enough that we’re all looking for relief those communities will REALLY shut the doors to outsiders.
Excuse me. Mine is the truth. That is how we were raised.
The problem is the forced section 8 not the size of the real family.
What you said about grandmothers reminds me of something I read years ago where in some culture, I don’t remember where now, the grandparent’s take on the role of parent. Sounds pretty strange, but makes a bit of sense seeing as it allows the young parents to enjoy their young adult years unburdened and then when they are older and wiser, they get to raise a grandchild.
I’m familiar with section 8. It’s one of the reasons that I moved my family from my first house.

The kids kicked out from the foster care system at 18 probably have it worse.
About 5 years ago we had some Guatemalans buy the house 3 doors down. Gorgeous house with a nice back yard and pool. They would pull out those ugly white plastic chairs and sit them all around in the front yard. When you drove by there would be 20 of them just lounging in the front yard. I saw the county’s mosquito man dumping fish in their pool because it was green. They sat in the front yard. The house was finally foreclosed on, thank God.
They do not adapt to our culture, rather determine to do what they want regardless.
Up the street they hang out on the porch and steps...sitting on old sofas. Just last night about 1:30am some woman was on the street bawling.....it’s just never ending drama. Three days ago they called the city ambulance as one of their kids got hurt playing in the street....and over the 4th I had three police cars and a firetruck under my bedroom window as they had set fire to something in the middle of the street.
It just never ends til they go.
Yeah that’s the way these were. They opened a ‘dance studio’ in their garage. I turned them in to the county zone people and they shut it down. In the 4 years they had the house there were different people living there all the time. One group would move out and another group would move in. Different group same crap. Even after the house was foreclosed on they would break into it and sleep there. I saw cars there one night and called the police. They hauled them out.
It was never ending til they finally resold the house through an auction. Now a nice old couple lives there.
....”One group would move out and another group would move in. Different group same crap”....
Yep, that’s how it’s been going up the street here. Trouble is the gravitate down here all the time and at all hours of the night.
I came home from being out of town for four hours... to see three of them sitting on MY porch stoop as I drove up to my drive! Course they jetted right away...but that’s not the point. They simply have no respect nor boundaries to their actions or life!

Folks getting a kid can expect good pay.
Numerous unrelated people in any one or two bedroom dwelling is not a “family”, it's a flop house.
Even way back in the old days,19XX something, well before Section 8, nobody in a poor community allowed that to happen in their local towns and cities.
So I see you going to continue to call me a liar for making a comment about the way that myself and my siblings were raised by calling that a ‘straw man’.
This whole premise that large families that are raised in a small house in humble circumstances is a cause for a deteriorating area is wrong.
The problem is section 8 where the ‘residents’ cannot be evicted even if they are a cause of crime.
But thanks for trying! /sarcasm//
