Former Dover area music teacher Matthew Puterbaugh now faces charges of rape of a child and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor.
Puterbaugh, 46, of the 1000 block of Conewago Road, was ordered to stand trial on those charges and other sexually related crimes today after his accuser, now a 25-year-old woman, testified against him this morning in the York County Judicial Center.
The woman said she first had sex with Puterbaugh, her music teacher, at age 12.
She said the relationship, which occurred in the Dover Intermediate School band room, on a band bus trip, at Puterbaugh's home and at her parents' home, continued until she turned 16 and her family moved away.
Puterbaugh also was ordered to stand trial for intercepting communications, corruption and invasion of privacy after 13 Dover area school girls and young women identified themselves on videos that police found on Puterbaugh's cellphone, or claimed that Puterbaugh touched them inappropriately.

I know that it is deviant behavior but I almost breathe a sigh of relief when it is discovered that the deviant did so with a member of the opposite sex. Still, he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
He or SHE. When women molest it is just as bad.
“He or SHE. When women molest it is just as bad.”
I was referring to this particular case but you are correct. He or SHE, should that be the case in other instances, should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
