Germany were intent on enjoying themselves as they arrived back in Berlin to celebrate winning the World Cup - even pre-rehearsing a hilarious routine to delight supporters.

Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, Erik Durm and Christoph Kramer looked to be striding out on to the podium alone, but captain Philipp Lahm was behind them, unseen.

Wait, no burning of cars? Looting? Ransacking of public and private property?

1-0

Must have been a pitchers duel.

LOL—they’re drinking beer on the bus, and are not afraid to be photographed doing it.

Just imagine a typical NFL score of 231-230.

They just don’t know how to celebrate.

Interesting thought.

Only allow one team on the field at a time — and hope for one of them to bungle the PAT.

Can’t do that, it would eliminate scoring two points for a safety.

No, but they may decide to annex Austria.

Also did you notice their players?

No tats, no weird dos, no bad attitudes, no prima donnas, no cry babies ...

I was really glad to see Germany and normalcy win.

You know, I did not notice that, but you are right. Interesting.

Aside: The weird hair thing is deliberate and kind of iconic to the World Cup.

It was a wonderful tournament, and the right team won, way to go Germany! And it’s amazing to think that we held Germany to only one goal, way to go USA!

I don’t guess they’ve had crowds like that(Unter den Linden)since The Fuhrer was in town?

The next group of players on stage, led out by star goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, arrived in a snake formation with their hands on the shoulders of the man in front, just like the Brazilian team did during the tournament.

The actions appeared to be a gentle dig at their semifinal victims, who Germany thrashed 7-1 much to the embarrassment of the host nation.

1-0 Must have been a pitchers duel.

Or a CFL game, where the only point was from a Rouge.

And the man who played a large part in changing the German program, and bringing in a lot of the core players of the German team, is now running the US Program.
