Authorities say a man has been electrocuted while trying to steal copper from [a] roof...
Investigators said the man was on a ladder around 1:30 a.m. Monday when it fell against a transformer, causing an explosion and shocking the man so badly his clothes caught fire.

Years ago our company was hired to rehab a building that had been overtaken and inhabited by homeless creatures, they sure weren’t people. Someone had stripped all the major and most of the minor wiring out, including the main connections to the hot transformer. The rep from Edison was quite impressed!
