The second half of the video is better, but the whole thing is good. I love Weird Al.

“Word Crimes” is excellent and right up at the top with White & Nerdy, IMHO.

I don’t recognize the songs he’s parodying anymore. Guess I’m officially old.

I really like his new “Tacky”, too. It’s very catchy!

While I am not a big fan of modern music I find ‘Royals’ to be a pretty neat song. Lorde has a very interesting voice and her harmonies are quite good. In my personal opinion Weird Al has outdone himself. This parody is sheer genius. I am off to the kitchen to make me a foil hat in his honor!

Count yourself among good company..

I googled the "original" version...I like Weird Al's version better...

Being a KC Royal fan, I am familiar with the song and even though my musical tastes are much older, I found I liked the song. Weird Al hit a home run which is more than the Royals can do now days.

Check out all of Postmodern Jukebox’s stuff. Here’s a fantastic cover of GnR’s “Sweet Child O’ Mine”:

Back in the 1970s, they had this hamburger stand that baseball players used to go to before games. This was back in the day before major league teams put out a big spread in the clubhouse before the game. The ballplayers were pretty much on their own when it came to lunch on gameday.

So imagine them standing in line to order burgers on game day with the fans. They used to wear big sunglasses and tourist-looking shirts so that people would not recognize them as ballplayers. Most of the time, it worked.

Also, can I please point out that anybody over the age of 13 who stalks ballplayers looking for an autograph is a loser?
