James Bond’s car of choice just got an upgrade worthy of a spy-style getaway.

British luxury manufacturer Aston Martin just unveiled its most-powerful machine ever built — the 2015 V12 Vantage S Roadster, a follow-up to the line debuted in 2013 which earned the company’s highest performance marks ever — until now.

The new Vantage sports a 565-horsepower 6-liter V-12 engine capable of powering the car to a eyelid-ripping 201 m.p.h. top speed, and takes it from zero to 60 m.p.h. in a mere 3.9 seconds.

....but will it hold 300 lbs. of cat litter, fifty lbs. of carrots, thirty-six lbs. of cat kibble, forty lbs. of dog kibble, and a few people groceries in the trunk?

I’ll keep my ol’ ‘89 Ford Lariat thank you. It’s paid for, and runs real good.

this is supplemental to the truck..

The truck can’t go 200 miles an hour even with a jato bolted in the back.

The money they’re asking for that car won’t buy a house in the neighborhoods it’s likely to move into.

Undercover cops/”spies” would likely eschew this since they like to remain un-noticed. But it would sure get a couple of SWAT guys to the scene in a hurry. Maybe a couple of pop out machine guns in the front. Ejection seat on the passenger side. Oil release feature in the back.

I love hyperbole too, but I’m pretty sure no eyelids will be ripped by acceleration alone.

Deceleration on the other hand, especially with YouTube videos of idiot valets running supercars into things, may be a different story.

used to work on Japanese bikes in the 1970s (before the ‘Ninja’ craze)

took some radical 4 and 6 cylinder bikes on the highway. scary really.

owned a relatively fast CB-750 pre K Honda...took it out early Saturday morning when it was not crowded on the highway. up around 140mph it just was crazy. driving on a 6 lane highway with almost no cars at 6AM you would pass the 70 mile an hour vehicles literally like they were still(and you were doing 70).

never kept those speeds up long.

201mph? that is totally crazy anywhere but a closed course.

Hell, it ain’t just supercars that valets run stuff into. Got a nice ding on the rear bumper of my Ram due to inattention by one. I guess they took the “RAM” to mean just that huh?

Buy a new Corvette C7 Z06...just about as fast, nice-looking and WAY cheaper. Unfortunately, it is produced by Government Motors.

Modern sportbikes are way different than the 70s bikes. I had to radically gear down my FZR-1000. Every time I let my eye wander off the speedo it sneaked up to 125 MPH. Felt like 80 on my old bike.

My radically modified turbo MR2 hit 131 MPH at the end of the straightaway at High Plains Raceway. It was still accelerating in 4th gear when I had to get on the brakes for turn one.

I race on the track, not the street.
