We think Cheryl Coles missed a trick with her quickie wedding on Macaroni Beach in Mustique. Just look at what she could have had her very own McWedding (Drive Thru or marry in).
Yes, McDonalds has the answer for all those normcore brides out there. Well, at least the ones willing to travel to Hong Kong. The fast food chain has been slowly expanding its wedding party program since 2011 and now boasts 11 restaurants that double up as budget wedding venues, all in Hong Kong.
And not only can you have the wedding ceremony there, theyll also host the reception and your anniversary party (so you can relive the McMemories)
Apparently, the service was introduced in Hong Kong due to popular demand with many couples wishing to bring their romantic story full circle by marrying where they first started dating, according to McDonalds spokeswoman Jessica Lee.
There arent currently any plans to roll it out to other countries, although one Bristol couple, Steve and Emily Asher, did choose to have their wedding reception at the Cribbs Causeway branch of Maccy Ds last year so theres a potential market in the UK.
In case youre interested, the super-size Love Forever Party wedding package costs HK$9,999, or just over £750, and includes a two-hour restaurant rental, 50 wedding invites, ANY McDonalds food up to the value of £250 (thats £5 per head so fill your boots), a pair of McDonalds balloon wedding rings, a McDonalds double apple pie box cake display and a party MC.
And, yes, you can have fries with that.
Ladies, if he wants to have the wedding at McDonald's he's a keeper...
I wonder if they do Burg Mitzvahs? Or the Hamburgler can do a McBris? It’s part of the 99 cent menu.
I had to look up "normcore", being an old fart and all.
Well, not my thing, but hey, it’s their wedding.
BTW, the Mickey D’s in Hong Kong (at least the ones I’ve been to) are impeccably clean and have great service. And the menu is pretty close to home. You can even get a Quarter Pounder w/Cheese.
Can’t get a Quarter Pounder at the McDonald’s in France, you know...
Not sure about McD’s, but might attend one at In-N-Out Burger.
Sure you can. Ask for 'Les Sandviche Chevelle'.
Is that French for “Royale with Cheese”? Because I was really trying hard to tie Pulp Fiction in with this story, LOL.
