When I was a kid there was a storm with no rain. I laid on the balcony and watched because the lightening was not coming down to the ground but going across the sky in different colors.

After a little while it went back to a normal storm and I closed the sliding glass door.

Actually its a long exposure. I just set an infinite focal length and low ISO and held the shutter open till I got a flash.

I don’t know if this is true or just an imagination of a small child. My mom said that when the lived in Colorado the lightning storms were so bad they had to climb up on their beds because lightning bolts would come down the chimney and dance around the room. I would like to hear from somebody from Colorado to verify this to be true.

My Grandfather that was born in Cannon City CO. told me that it happened at there home. His father had just entered the house when it came down the chimney and he stepped to the side opening the door and let it out. They called it ball lightning.
