CHICAGO (Reuters) - A Chicago teen was arrested and charged with the murder of an 11-year-old girl who was hit by a stray bullet at a sleepover last Friday, the state attorney's office said on Thursday.
Tevin Lee, 18, has been charged with murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm and will appear in bond court on Thursday or Friday, a spokesman for the state attorney said.

Shamiya's murder stemmed from a seemingly routine altercation earlier Friday. A boy riding his bike was beaten by a group of boys.
That is routine - a group of boys stop a kid on his bike and beat him? or is this 'routine'?
He told an older brother about what happened, and later that evening, the brother, Lee and others went looking for the group responsible. The source said Lee allegedly opened fire at a group of boys in the area of the original beating, striking Shamiya
Let me guess...his grandma (or aunt) that he lives with says that he's a good boy, turning his life around, working on his GED (or getting decent grades in school), maybe an aspiring athlete, or rapper?

Thanks for the link. The website I gave the link to had additional information not included at your link. I can imagine that it takes time to gather that info and they post it when they have it. They’ll post it when they get it I’m sure.

That's their worldview, though - that people are "basically good" and if you change their environment sufficiently, they'll act that way.
lol! Right. People are basically good save for those who had a bad upbringing. And how dare we hold him responsible for shooting innocents in a gang war, he was bullied as a child.
The news is simply going to have to stop reporting on crimes committed by “people of the urban culture”,
because any word they use comes to mean exactly what we know it means,
and then that word, be it “they” or “giraffes”, becomes “racist”.
