PARIS - A 76-year-old Frenchman has gone on trial for taking justice into his own hands after a decades-long mission to avenge his daughter's death.
Andre Bamberski is accused of ordering the kidnapping five years ago in Germany of retired doctor Dieter Krombach, who was tied up and dumped near a French courthouse to face charges in the 1982 death of Bamberski's 15-year-old daughter, Kalinka. Krombach was the girl's stepfather.

Innocent. Award the man a medal. His actions were little different from a bounty hunter, except motivated by justice, not the desire to earn a living.
Guilty of littering, 50 Euro fine. The rapist/murderer should have been placed in dumpsters, since Paris is too beautiful to have such filth on its streets. [Note: the plural “dumpsters” is the correct word; the doctor should have been separated from various parts of his body so he could understand what he had done to his victim.]

No, I don’t understand it. Sounds more like a liberal mindset than a German mindset. Sort of like how Islam is called a Religion of Peace, when they kill and mutilate people at will.
It reads like that occurred as part of the autopsy, not at the crime scene. If that's part of a normal autopsy procedure, it's a factoid I could've done without knowing.
Maybe the German court can convict the father in absentia and sentence him to a suspended sentence.

I don’t understand this. They successfully kidnapped the guy. As soon as they crossed the border into France they should have put a bullet in his head and dumped him in a river. Done and done.
