Why Sarah Palin launched her own online TV network

Sarah Palin hasn’t held office for five years, but the former Alaska governor’s reach only seems to grow.

The one-time GOP vice presidential nominee has launched her own Internet TV network, named – drumroll, please – The Sarah Palin Channel. It’s a subscription-based service, and she’s charging $9.95 a month or $99.95 a year.

“I want to talk directly to you on our channel, on my terms – and no need to please the powers that be,” Ms. Palin says in a video on the site, which went live Sunday. “Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”

Did I wake up in Bizarro world?

Yes you did.......

This site has changed dramatically since I first joined and it's become nothing more than a zombie world where so called conservatives are more concerned with destroying anyone who doesn't conform 100% to their own personal line of politics.....

I only have to reference the "Great Purge" of 2008 that resulted in the banning of many great old time FReepers whose only crime was supporting Romney..........

Legal disclaimer: "The above paragragh is merely an historical personal observation of this poster and does not necessarily represent his support for or opposition to the GOP presidential candidate mentioned."

"Conservatives need to stay away from Glenn Beck."

Agreed. Anyone who stands with GLAAD does not stand with me.

You can NOT be serious about this!

—— much like the move has done to Beck. ——

He’s on cable in a lot of markets. He’d have his own cable network by now if the cartel would sell to him. He’s a very astute businessman, but he was surprised by the fact that no cable network will sell to him.

Yes I am... Their was a time in this country when people didn't think twice and get into any business they wanted. Without naming him, their is a famous guy that got in the off the road business and sold all kinds of vehicles with his name on them and became rich, of course as the story goes he also found oil on his land but that is a different story :-), but you get my drift.

What are the Palin's and so many others not getting into because of Capital requirements post Dodd Frank and not being able to launch something in your garage like an "Apple" today because XYZ "Dept of" bureaucrat with a clipboard won't let you do that. Again they can launch this On-Line-TV, for now...

Do you drive a car? If so, when are you going to start a car company?

Would love to do something like that, but then again for the same reasons the late John Fitch didn't go forward with his sports car in the late 60's Gov't regs, and they are gargantuan now compared to then...

if you are going to ONLY stand with the ‘perfect’ you are going to be in a very small crowd.

I disagree with Glenn on some things, but I prefer The Blaze news OVER everyone else including Fox News (they come in second)

Do you disagree or will you all close you ears and go “I can’t hear you nah nah nah nah nah...” because you disagree with SOME things he has done?

If not for Beck, who would know about George Soros (”spooky dude”) and Cloward-Piven strategy? Among MANY other things. Brietbart owes its existence in a large part to Beck.

He is right and wrong some times, just like all of us.

"if you are going to ONLY stand with the ‘perfect’ you are going to be in a very small crowd."

Mr. K, that's a straw man, and I respectfully suggest you know it is. I don't expect perfection from a human being. I do, though, expect more common sense and discernment than Beck shows.

"I disagree with Glenn on some things, but I prefer The Blaze news OVER everyone else including Fox News (they come in second)"

I don't care about The Blaze, and I only watch Fox once in a while. FR is my news source.

"Do you disagree or will you all close you ears and go “I can’t hear you nah nah nah nah nah...” because you disagree with SOME things he has done?"

"If not for Beck, who would know about George Soros (”spooky dude”) and Cloward-Piven strategy? Among MANY other things. Brietbart owes its existence in a large part to Beck."

LOL, I don't know that I can agree with you there. Look, Beck did some useful things in the past, but he blew that capital with all the absurd stances he's taken and stunts he's pulled.

"He is right and wrong some times, just like all of us."

No. Not like all of us. He opened his arms and embraced a bunch of deviants and queers (GLAAD) because he's led by his emotions and he can't resist dramatic, grandiose gestures. He smeared Cliven Bundy and the people who supported him. He called conservatives "judgmental" and "pusses" for not falling in line with his latest stunt.

And then there's his ongoing fawning over Gandhi and Martin Luther King...it's sickening.

Like I said, I don't expect perfect, but Beck is a disgrace.

I would strongly disagree that Beck is “a disgrace”... I just can disagree with him on some things.

Obama is “a disgrace”. I think you use that word too casually.

What’s wrong with Ghandi and MLK? I think MLK would be ashamed of today’s “black leaders” (like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.) MLK would be a Republican today. And he would not stay silent on ‘knockout game’ and 80% illegitimacy rate, among other things.

I respect your difference of opinion, Mr. K. But after everything he's done, I consider him a disgrace.

What's wrong with MLK? *sigh* It amazes me that some conservatives have bought into the hype about that leftist radical.

King smeared our troops in Vietnam by calling them war criminals. He routinely defended and apologized for the vicious North Vietnamese. He claimed that America was the biggest purveyor of violence in the world, in fact comparing our government to that of wartime Germany which carried out medical experiments in the concentration camps. We denounce John Kerry for saying pretty much the same things, yet King is held up as a hero.

King was in favor of reparations. He said that this country needed a radical revolution of values. He's known as a "reverend", yet he denied the divinity of Christ, was a serial adulterer, and participated in orgies. Ralph Abernathy says King was with two different women on the eve of his assassination, and that he beat one of them up.

Make no mistake: MLK was a leftwinger, a privately self-described Marxist. No conservative should lionize him. If he were alive today, he would be right in step with the Jacksons and the Sharptons and the Obamas.

Gandhi was a deviant and a pervert, quite simply. He set up ashrams in which married women were forbidden to sleep with their husbands but instead had to sleep with him. When he was 77 years old, he made his 18 year old grandniece sleep naked with him.

Yet Beck used to have a habit---still may, for all I know---of lumping Jesus Christ with Gandhi and King, calling them "three men." It was beyond offensive.
