[ I really don’t have a problem with this. I mean, women crossdress all the time. They wear boys jeans, shirts, shoes and sometimes the underwear. I have met crossdressers in the malls and out to eat. No biggie. Who cares? If that’s what they want, then so be it. By the way, I’m skinny and my wife wears my levis all the time and I think she looks hot in them. And when she wears nothing but one of my flannel shirts, she’s hot ]
When I wear a flannel shirt, it is cute, when someone who is a “Butch” wears a flannel shirt it is a walking chiche...
There is a bit of a double standard, but it depends on the situation, I grew up on a farm and always wore practical work clothing, which was sometimes mens shirts, overalls, gloves, and boots etc... But that was from a very practical situation and it was like pulling teeth to find practical farm clothing for women that didn’t fall apart.
However from my practical perspective as a farm girl going out and running a tractor in pumps and an skirt is not very practical or safe, and as men are expected to do a lot more physical work it would be better to keep them safe...
I think the reason women can get away more with wearing “mens” clothing is that it in general is just more practical clothing. I usually wear pants, granted they are fitted and cut like the potus pants, which means they fit me and the girly Obama. But I can wear nice blouse with them when I am at work or when i get home put on a “work shirt” and get stuff done around the house and yard that needs to get done.

I know, I really feel sorry for her, I would have hated to be stuck with such a body, she would have looked more feminine in a suit of viking armor with a hat with horns on it and long blonde braids than the sundresses she wore.
The thing is that from the picture in the article the “it” didn’t look all that “many” but probably the voice is what “gives it away”.
I swear i have been in public and you think you see a female and all of the sudden the mouth opens up and it is this weird really voice that is across between truck driver and monty python falsetto that comes out and you instantly just know that is a dude in a dress no matter how “good” they look. Or you see what looks like is a shrimpy “guy” and they open their mouth to speak and you instantly think Chaz bono of really manly lesbian...
Either that or they stumble around like a linebacker when they walk, there are a lot of “tells” if you watch people at a mall you can spot the weird ones easily, even if they look the part.
There are plenty of guides online that help anyone fit themselves (sister-in-law is a fashion designer), and there are no doubt plenty of places online that sell to men who want to wear women’s clothing. This isn’t about being able to buy clothing; this is about trying to make a political statement (as so many of these people try to do).
This is akin to giving a man that believes that he's Napolean a funny hat and a sword and telling him that if he invades Russia he'll feel better about himself.
There is not much in the way of PC here. Lots of gays, but no real political power to speak of. Sometimes these guys look better than women and I have to sometimes ask my wife if the person we see is male or female.
In the mid-70s while in high school, I worked at Gottchalks (Fresno Fashion Fair mall) in the teen dept. I was also a “Hi Deb” (model).
A very short homosexual with long curly hair (the guy floated and twittered around the clothing racks...), came into the dept. and started picking out various clothing. He asked for the little tag you hang on a dressing room door to show it was occupied and how many items of clothing you were taking into the changing room.
No. You can use the men’s changing rooms across the way. He threw a hissy-fit, demanding to use a female room. Nope. He demanded the manager, which I gladly called.
The manager did not blink, telling him to use the men’s changing rooms or shop somewhere else. The homosexual threw the clothes on the floor and huffed out.
The manager went back to his office, shoulders shaking with quiet laughter.
That was my first encounter with one.

If you’re trying to equate a slim woman wearing boys’ jeans that happen to fit her with a mentally-ill, depraved, self-mutilating queer freak, you need help.
And if you truly think this nation’s embrace of such sick, immoral perversion will have no impact or effect, I suggest it’s time for you to wake up. Perusal of the Bible would help you get a realistic grip on the situation.
Didn’t the problems of acquiring a cross-dresser’s wardrobe used to get covered in niche publications for fetishists?
Why is American Pravda focusing on a minority set of the already minority block of homosexualists (who make up 2% of the population)?

At any rate, there were specific types of publications that almost resembled mimeograph copies (tells you how old I am) that carried these publications featuring strange ads hinting at unusual sexual services, drug paraphernalia, etc. with articles regarding where to find lingerie that ran in men's "big and tall" sizes, or which stores featured "sensitive sales personnel" when asking for personal fitting help.
As you state, now this kind of article is appearing in "mainline" publications (does AP qualify to be called "mainline" or has "mainline" become "fringe fetish today?) which now produce "fringe fetish" as "news."
Somehow, though not understanding most of the words or terms used, the author of this article implies that I'm somehow supposed to care about the fact that people are being humiliated because their body types don't fit into the available clothing lines at most traditional clothing and/or department stores.
I might sympathize with these shoppers were their fitting "issues" not cloaked in psychobabble of fringe homosexual tendencies.
I not only don't care, I'm offended.
